In game 5.9 Gig ram graphics card all the time , and my card is 6gig ram
Even on lowest settings , Im having 5.9 gigs ram used all the time.Is this is normal ? I know its early access.I even try to change resolution lower

It probably allocates all of the memory to begin with so it's available & is quite normal in this game.

In BeamNG when I have 5.8gig used , there is a warning , so I 5.9gigs in Evo while driving Im having a lot of issues with fps , and graphics
I dont know if you are talking about vram or ram. Min spec vram is 8gig min ram is 16 gig acording to Kunos.

dude just buy a new gpu. Clearly yours doesn't have enough Vram to provide. Its not the game, its your wallet.:Fistofdosh::ccskull:

This!

And yes, if you have no VRam left your going to suffer. On flat screen im using 10.5gb of 12gb & get great performance, but in VR it uses 11.7 & performance suffers greatly.

So why is gtx1070 on minimum spec ? They say nothing about Vram in graphics card.90% users in steam have no more then 6gig Vram on graphics cards.I hope they are going to optimise this game

They actually have the rx 5600 as a recommended GPU that only has 6gb vram in the game requirements....

I do wonder if they made a mistake and meant and 5700

but yea...so far the game is very heavy on vram I'm not sure if its used less than 12-14 gb of vram for me at 1440p and 4k sometimes even getting to the full 16 gb of vram on my rx6800. medium settings with FSR on balanced and quality so thats kind of crazy.

Also system ram is a little higher than ACC about 3-4 gb.

Cpu usage seems to really suffer like something isnt quite working properly I get double the cpu usage on ACC but also 3x the FPS lol.

you also have to change your whole desktop resolution to actually change the game resolution or it just reverts back.

AC Evo seems to really have a ton of light effects and haze/fog shadows I think they will really have to dial these down on low settings or many people will struggle to get decent FPS.
Medium preset on AC evo is probably close to Epic on ACC maybe even more lighting and shadow effects going on still.

Could you show me where you're getting this information? I find it hard to believe.

They're wrong about that, the last steam hardware survey shows 6GB VRAM and lower GPUs are about ~35% overall. 8GB is ~35% on its own, and 10GB and up cards make up the rest: https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Software-Survey-Welcome-to-Steam

It's still a decent chunk, regardless. I have a 2060 and the VRAM usage in races is often +2GB over budget. This is with every setting on low/off @ 1080p.

To answer the op's question as to whether it's normal behavior, I would say it's normal in that the game eats up a lot of VRAM (and also system memory), but I don't know if it's actually supposed to be like that... In the discord the other day, they posted that 8GB-12GB GPUs should be using the High Texture Pool setting, and yet I noticed on Low Texture Pool (and low everything else as mentioned), the game is still using more than 7.5GB VRAM, even uses slightly more VRAM than this 2060 just loading into the main menu, but races obviously take up the most.

Anyway, if Kunos is saying high texture pool is recommended for 8GB VRAM cards and up, and low texture pool is still managing to eat up nearly 8GB VRAM, where does that leave medium?

Just looking at that, I would say it seems like certain things may not be actually working as intended. Perhaps optimizations in time will help, but this VRAM discrepancy specifically seems like a more immediate issue that needs to be looked at, appears to be the biggest negative impact on performance in general for the lower end. Memory leaks seem like an issue too as I've people with high end specs reporting performance degradation over time.

I was trying to post about all this on the official forums, but even after linking my steam account a while back I still don't have the privileges to even look at the ACE threads there, let alone post anything. Oh well.

How to fix very low frame rates.
All you have to do is set your desktop resolution to whatever you want the game to run in.
It's the only way to set the resolution of the game because you are playing in a borderless window.
Changing resolution in game does nothing atm until they fix full screen.

I use 7+ on my rtx2070 super ( 8gb) I have 32 gb ram .

Not exactly a universal fix for all, I've forced a lower desktop res and performance doesn't change much at all, nor does the excessive VRAM usage

Still worth noting that fullscreen in game isn't real fullscreen and is always based on your desktop resolution, but some people are already running at a lower native res and even using DLSS which is an even lower render res being upscaled and performance is still poor to unplayable in some instances.

Obviously worth trying out if you are using a 4k screen and trying to play in 1440/1080/etc fullscreen. And windowed mode in game does change resolution, but the game will be in a smaller window which isn't ideal, still a quick way to compare overall perf differences in various resolutions.

Just fyi for the "just buy new gpu" people, the RTX 5060 card that releases later this year will have 8 gigs of VRAM (according to leaks that also confirmed 5070's 12 gigs). Buying "brand new 2025 gpu" won't save you from vram overflow issues, neither will any AI crap Nvidia comes up with.
Nvidia is being pretty scummy with their 256 buss memory and 8gb of ram for too long. And don't get me started on those latency inducing fake frame interpolation, We should be allowed to pay half with real money and the other half with monopoly money. I will be sticking to my 8gb 3070 for a few more years or switch to amd if they deliver.

For performance I cranked everything to low. I don't need eye candy when all i I am looking most of the times is only the apexes. Steady 120 fps or 90-ish with a.i races
