Assetto Corsa EVO

Meta Quest 3
New PC Asus ROG with RTX 4060 I7 13700. When using screen mode everything appears to work fine. When I switch to VR mode, VR flickers, hand controls do not work. Mouse only. When selecting Drive VR image starts to jump around. Not really drive-able.

Thanks

Good luck in the current state. RTX 4070 here and VR on the quest 3 is barely playable. 11GB of vram used in the menu system only. VR needs much work and shouldn't have been stated as included at EA launch. Improvements will come, but who knows how long as the performance seems a long way off where it should be. I am hoping reducing vram usage may bring big improvements....

The Devs have said that it's best with VR to go in with all settings on low and then work up. Being Early Access they would like to hear what issues you guys are having so they can work on them so post away!

Ummm, I'd guess all they really need is someone at Kunos to try it with a Quest 3. Won't take long to figure out that it is not remotely playable.

VR controllers are never supported in sim racing titles.

I just did my first drive 10600k with 4070ti Super, it looked like crap, and it was difficult to work through the menus and to get the view to position itself correctly, but it was driveable. It didn't look good whatsoever though. Miles off of iRacing which is quite shocking.
VR is included as part of the first update on the roadmap. Chill out
Vr for me seems ok . Lowered the settings a bit can race fine there's a bit of pixel and jerky on main screen. I had a bit on the racing till I lowered the graphics and stuff down probably could get it even better if I lowered them down to low. I've got a mix at moment with high and medium settings.

I'm assuming you have at least a higher end GPU with at least 16GB, or have made changes in openxr toolkit with resolutions or fov?
5800X with 6750XT and 32B system RAM, Quest 2.

VR...well not good, FSR just had ghosting all over the place, turned it off and it turned my Queast 2 into triple screen, ie showing the same thing in 3 seperate screens within the headset. Turning fsr off, exiting game, relaunching and turning FSR back on sorted things out a bit but it was a lagfest at times although still managed to complete a 3 l;ap race of Brands Hatch with 9 AI with reasonable performance. Early days though and many settings to fiddle with both in game and out of game, so i'm hopeful for future goodness :)
4070 Quest 3 - all fine. Was getting 80fps on default settings. Increased settings, turned things on and off, tried all sorts. Can't get it above 50 now, which is still playable just fine, but odd that I can't get back to the 80 I had at the start. Might revert to default and see if that sorts it because then I can report a useful bug report.

This gives me a little hope.

If you could share your settings for in game, and more so for the VR side of things that would be great. I'm not getting anywhere near that with a 4070, ryzen 7600, nvme drive, and 32GB ddr 5 ram. The GPU is the only thing at the limit.

Have you checked your vram usage as mine is maxed out even at very low settings?

Are you using steamlink or virtual desktop or through the oculus link (wired or wireless)?

Resolution in the VR app? as in 100% of the resolution of the VR headset?

Have you used the openxr toolkit to modify anything?

I'm assuming your dlss is turned off in game settings?

Can't understand how I'm seeing only 30 fps with spacewarp (frame gen) making it 60 fps artificially. This is in very low settings and it looks terrible compared to other Sims I've tried and not running at the full 72 fps without any frame gen that I'm used to.

Why were you gloomy in the first place? This is v0.1.1 and VR improvements are firmly on the roadmap.
Hope that I can get it running well enough to enjoy now, as that roadmap for the next VR update may be months away if it requires a lot of work. I get this is EA, so it's hope not being critical.

4080 here and it's very playable, you're gonna have to spend a bit of time tweaking your settings though.
