A Disappointing Start for Triple-Screen Users in Assetto Corsa EVO
Assetto Corsa EVO is, in its current state, a massive disappointment, especially for triple-screen users. No matter what settings I tweak, the game is simply unplayable with AI cars on triple screens. Even with a powerful RTX 4070, I barely get 60 FPS – and that's only without AI cars – while my CPU remains severely underutilized. This is simply unacceptable for a racing game of this caliber and price point.

On a single screen, it’s a different story: everything runs perfectly, even with ultra graphics settings. However, I’ve been racing on a triple-screen setup for nearly ten years, and I expect a modern racing simulator to support it properly. This was already a major issue with Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), and I sincerely hope that Kunos Simulazioni doesn’t make the same mistake again.

I understand that this is an Early Access version, but triple-screen support is an absolute must for many sim racers and should be better implemented at this stage. Without a timely fix, I won’t be able to play Assetto Corsa EVO – and honestly, I won’t want to.

I can’t comment much on other aspects of the game because I’ve spent most of my time trying to get the triple-screen setup to work. I did a bit of driving in single-screen mode, but that’s simply not an option for me and doesn’t reflect the experience I expect from the game.

Kunos, please, please fix this issue – and quickly! A game like Assetto Corsa EVO must take triple-screen users seriously, or it won’t have a future for many sim racers.

3 screen means almost 3x the power needed. 4070 is junk and not designed to run multiple screens simultaneously at high frames..

i have a 4090 and game runs 3 32 inch monitors at 100fps+ just like ACC. that is why these cards exist.

learn what you're buying.. 4070 is a entry level gpu. you want to play you gotta pay.

There will be more triple screen optimisation in the 2nd release of E.A.
Tells you everything that's coming on the road map when you launch the game.

Your response misses the point entirely. Yes, triple screens require more power, but the issue here isn’t just raw GPU performance – it’s optimization. The fact that my CPU remains underutilized and that performance takes such a massive hit with AI cars suggests deeper issues with how the game handles resources, not just GPU limitations.

A 4070 is not an 'entry-level' GPU; it’s a mid-range card capable of running many modern titles on triple screens at acceptable frame rates with proper optimization. For context, I can run other racing simulations on my triple-screen setup without any issues, even with high settings and AI cars. The problem here is specific to Assetto Corsa EVO.

If your 4090 can only hit 100+ FPS, that further highlights the game's inefficiencies, as that card should achieve much higher performance in well-optimized software.

Early Access or not, a racing sim like Assetto Corsa EVO should prioritize features like triple-screen support, as they are essential to its core audience. My intention is to provide constructive criticism, as I want to see this game succeed. Dismissing valid concerns doesn’t help anyone, least of all the developers trying to improve the game."
Instead of dismissing valid criticism, constructive input would help improve the game for everyone.

I really hope that it will be better and playable with the next updates :)
There will be the game optimizations soon for sure.

May I ask for which resolution you're using on triple screen?
Assetto Corsa Evo in Early Access with version 0.1.2 is very VRAM hungry atm.

May i reply to this... there is an option in the settings which fixes the camera for triple screen users, called "triple screen" - this fixed this "streched view".
I have a 4080s and the game runs on 5760x1080 with "triple screen setting OFF" on average 150 fps (mid-high to high settings) - independently from the FOV (40-80deg doesnt make any difference on fps) ...
Once you switch this "triple screen setting" to "ON" (which you should, as the camera view looks 1000 times better) the FPS drop constantly to an average of 70-90 FPS .....

I hope Kunos will fix it soon! (PS: VR has even worse performance)

I'm not disputing the game does need optimization, but some people just looking for unrealistic performance numbers.

like ACC, I run the game at max except mirrors. i get similar performance, 14900k running the game at 7680x1440 resolution, usually stays above 90 fps, 120 fps avg.

i play with a resolution of only 5760x1080
I have two solutions that might help you:

Turn off VSync and see if that helps for the CPU utizilation.

For video memory:
Please give a try to use VeryLow/Lowest graphics settings for triple 1080p and go for a test race with 15-30 AI drivers to see for how it performs.
Remember when EA Sport Wrc relase 1.0 version, Full of bug, graphic issues, trash 3 monitor support... and much more....1.0 ver!!!! This is 0.1!
Lot of AAA games are made these days with poor quality with full of bug...
I'm glad that the game was released this way, because a lot of feedback helps the developers until the final product.

i have 3070, when ingame setting triple is on the game 15-30 fps very low settings with 5 ai rain weather, when turn off the triple setting jump to 60-70 fps in medium graphic sett.
try turn off, not the best the view, but playable in triple. (for me)

I think it's easier for the developers if the general public gets involved in the testing, it's easier and faster to test publicly on all kinds of hardware than in-house... costs can also run high on a project of this size, the licenses for the tracks and cars are not thrown away for free, and it's not a disadvantage if you don't go bankrupt the company before relase the final ver.

Im having zero issues in triples with a 4070TI With AI, so either you have your setting smashed all the way up or something else in your setup is coursing the issue. Im using SRWE setting to 7680 width and centring, then in ACE chick the triples set FOV. No Black screen no crappy frames im getting between 90 n 100 FPS.

seems like u just stretched game window via geforce surround, it is not a proper triple. My 4070 ti have in this mode stable 100 fps too on ultras with 5760x1080 resolution, but when i switch on "true" triple mode, when perspective of side screens change - fps drops to 34, while gpu utilization is 70%, cpu 20%. We know what we are bought, but did u know how 2 properly use what you bought?

VR is the same sorry unusable state. The game can run on one flat screen. But there's a mountain of work to get VR anywhere near usable.
CPU low usage doesn't mean a lot.
fps drops relative to AI are definitely related to CPU.
AC1 did have the same issues in its early state.

ive dont mentioned above that i told about races with 9 AI cars, fps issues was only when "triple mode" option is on, all other settigs on ultra, without scailing. And in this mode i tried to lower all options 1 by one, to find what else affects on performance - aaaand none of them changed fps amount at all

Problem is, that u cant use DLSS with triple screen enabled, as you can set everything without enabling triple monitor option (use window over all three monitors) and use dlss, its nicely playable, but after switching to triple monitor setup, with right FOV etc, its unplayable atm... (Ano no, dont blame my PC, 4090/7950X3D). We need drivers, we need optimisation....
