There's only partial support for the controllers atm so not all buttons can be bound but you can change the shifting buttons, in saying they can't be bound the system recognises them but they just don't work
and that is being forced to have to use the L2/R2 triggers as brake and throttle, when i have never used these in all the time i played sims, and even more significantly no other sim in the last 20 years has enforced such anal nonsense on player choice except ACC and now this...
would players accept a flight sim or FPS game which did not allow them to use inverse controls ie in correlation to the controllers movement for up down...ie like it is in a n actual aircraft?
Would a flight sim dev ever have the arrogant audacity to force players to have to use one or another?, so then why do kunos think it's ok?, to basically force the same concept on how i want to play... a driving sim because to me it's the same concept..and i already know there would be total outrage if ever a flight sim dev was that brain-dead ignorant and arrogant to believe they know what's best for everyone else.. listen i aim to get another wheel yes i have one but it basically never functions for any length of time because of windows updates (g25) if anyone is wondering i did get it working in win 11 by updating my bios, same trick however didn't work again after another damned windows update, so i'm investing in a new one, but that doesn't change the principle here even if i had the best wheel on the planet, these decisions and choices are totally arrogant and ignorant, and deserve that i now leave them a negative review unless i hear/see something which changes my opinion..
They did exactly the same with ACC from release and it's still the same restricted bs now, so what makes you think EVO would be any different?
But how it handles, is very much car depending, so there is a learning curve.
The things I do not like so far. The meek FFB feel on the controller and the steering animation, which will F.up your mind.
In Short: Very usable.
Last time I played ACC I was able to bind all buttons on the controller, as for EVO it's early days and was able to bind gears + TC & ABS so all is fine for now
I found changing the FOV slider so you are sitting a bit further back made the drivers arms move more smoothly and not jump around at all
By using the right analouge stick as i have always done this is totally natural to my logic and what's more there is a greater physucal input range, it's not for devs to decide how we the players want to play, every other sim i have used respects this except kunos, ACC and now ACE... even the original AC,, didn't do this, so why enforce it with later titles for as i see it, no logical reason at all?
no in ACC it's quite crap. because it's the same enforced bs as they have decided to arrogantly enforce once more with ACE i know i have the game and gave it a poor review because if it.. ......but for some reason this arrogant restriction wasn't implemented in AC,, why the dumb restrictive change in design choice?....it's just totally unnecessary. and they are going to hear about it from me till they get ear ache...
