G923 Trueforce Issue: Achieving Realistic FFB in Assetto Corsa EVO
Hello everyone,

I wanted to bring up an issue I’ve encountered with the Force Feedback (FFB) Trueforce settings in Assetto Corsa EVO, particularly when compared to the settings in Assetto Corsa Competizione. I’ve been trying to achieve a realistic and immersive driving experience but have struggled to replicate the level of feedback I’m used to in Competizione.

Observations:

Lighter Feel: The FFB in EVO feels significantly lighter overall. When cornering or driving in a straight line, the wheel lacks the realistic resistance and dynamic feedback that I typically rely on to gauge the car’s behavior.

Limited Adjustability: The range of tweakable options in EVO appears to be reduced compared to Competizione. This limits my ability to fine-tune settings and personalize the driving experience to suit my preferences.

Impact on Driving Experience:
Without sufficient feedback through the wheel, it feels like I’m not fully connected to the car or the road.

For example:

When cornering, I don’t get the sensation of fighting the wheel to maintain control, which diminishes the immersive challenge I enjoy.

Driving in a straight line lacks the subtle vibrations and forces that typically communicate surface texture and car stability.

Request for Insights:
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Trueforce in EVO? If so, how have you addressed them? Are there any specific settings, third-party tools, or workarounds that can help enhance the FFB to feel more realistic and comparable to Competizione?

I’d greatly appreciate any tips, advice, or discussion on this topic. Thank you in advance for your help and insights!

I absolutely love the Trueforce settings and capabilities in Assetto Corsa Competizione. They provide such a dynamic and realistic driving experience that I truly enjoy. I wish these settings and capabilities could be implemented in Assetto Corsa EVO as well. Even with an older wheel, I want to be able to enjoy the game as much as everyone else.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts,

Thanks Squash !.... definitely improved ffb but still no trueforce effects for me.

The official Kunos PDF says for the Logitech Pro:
Setting the torque to 9Nm,
use the in-game settings at 80%
Increase it in the Logitech app
and lower it in the game to your liking

...Perhaps you could try increasing the main FF gain in the Logitech app above the default of 50% and then lower it in the game settings. Would that work?
Thanks..but the suggestion below definitely improved ffb...still no trueforce effects for me though
feels too floaty and like 10% of the ffb of acc
100% agree
"Achieving Realistic FFB in Assetto Corsa EVO"

dude, with a g29 you cant reach realistic FFB. this wheel have only 2,4 NM of force^^

I'm not saying realistic more like the feel of the force feedback you'd get off like ACC which feels more true to what the G923 should feel like.
is it me the only one who have a problem with the ffb AND the direction? Because when I am turning just a bit, its turning a way more in the game...

I have a G923 and I don't use TrueForce, but I have the same feeling as you.

It seems to me that the steering wheel has so little force on that it feels like the FFB is off most of the time. The steering wheel offers no resistance, much less than my real-life car with power steering offers.

And I have a lot of trouble feeling if the car is about to lose the rear end at high speeds. I got tired of losing the rear end of the car on South Bank at Brands Hatch. I can't drive by feeling it, I just know that I have to brake sooner because on the previous lap I let the car get out of control. In other words, in situations where the car dives under braking for the curve and starts to lose the rear end, it is very difficult to predict what will happen and the steering wheel's reaction in countersteer seems very slow to me.

I believe that the gain value has to be increased for weaker steering wheels like the G923, or some other force feedback gain curve, something like accentuating the minimum forces, as it seems to me that this curve was designed only for very strong steering wheels like 10 nm and above.
FFB just does not work at the moment maybe on 1 make it might but on most it not work at all
I have a g923 and it works fine with iRacing's FFB settings. No it's not as good as expensive DD wheels, but the wheel has weight and resistance. This just feels like the wheel is not attached to a car, whatever setting I use. Thanks for all the input on here already, but I think it's just not a working feature atm. Shame as the cars seem like great fun otherwise. The joys of Early Access.
So.....deleating the ACE folder in documents followed by a pc restart (mentioned in other forums) fixed everything for me.....logitech DD pro wheel ffb and trueforce..both now really strong and detailed. Hope this works for anyone with logi DD pro wheels......but might also fix it for g923..used to have one..nice!
