Basically weight transfer is perceivable (at least on some cars), but anything else is muffled (at best). Grip feedback across surfaces (es. curbs) is generally poor. Braking feedback is the worst part to me, almost entirely missing (even ABS kicking in is weak).
That's sad, because imho physics are spot-on, greatly improved over AC/ACC.
Problem is without a communicative FF driving in EVO is mostly am unintuitive matter of muscle memory ...
As for in-game FFB settings on the G923, i managed to make a good one for my self, if you want to try it and see if it helps here are my settings. .. Theses are my settings without trueforce so it might be completely bad with it working properly
Steering Lock : 900
FFB Gain :100%
Dynamic damping : 40%
Minimum damper : 100%
Damper gain : 35 %
Trueforce Gain : 100%
Speed sensitivity : 100%
Steering filter :20%
Steering assist weight:100%
Vibrations : 100%
Thank you so much !! work thine on g920 too
THX! Works on G27 too. Feels good now.
It seems to me that the steering wheel has so little force on that it feels like the FFB is off most of the time. The steering wheel offers no resistance, much less than my real-life car with power steering offers.
And I have a lot of trouble feeling if the car is about to lose the rear end at high speeds. I got tired of losing the rear end of the car on South Bank at Brands Hatch. I can't drive by feeling it, I just know that I have to brake sooner because on the previous lap I let the car get out of control. In other words, in situations where the car dives under braking for the curve and starts to lose the rear end, it is very difficult to predict what will happen and the steering wheel's reaction in countersteer seems very slow to me.
I believe that the gain value has to be increased for weaker steering wheels like the G923, or some other force feedback gain curve, something like accentuating the minimum forces, as it seems to me that this curve was designed only for very strong steering wheels like 10 nm and above.
Setting the torque to 9Nm,
use the in-game settings at 80%
Increase it in the Logitech app
and lower it in the game to your liking
...Perhaps you could try increasing the main FF gain in the Logitech app above the default of 50% and then lower it in the game settings. Would that work?
