You can change the seating position and bind a button to reset view though. Also you should lock the view to horizon.
As for settings, the only settings you can adjust are through whichever ecosystem you have setup as your OpenXR runtime. If that is SteamVR, then you adjust the settings by opening the SteamVR settings and modifying those.
The VR on this game is 100% broken, though, at least currently -- so until they fix it I would not worry much about trying to tune the VR settings.
In google search "cumulonembo reverbG2 + xp12 not working" and in that conversation a user name "sbecker777" posted a special nightly build that I am using in EVO. I can access all the OpenXR setting in game overlay.
For anyone else OpenXR is working well for me using HP Reverb G2. There are glitches and performance issues but those are expected in Alpha. Once you install the openXR run time, restart computer and go to steamvr setting and "run time" will be openxr.
When you launch the game it gives you a choice to use 2D mode or VR mode. Make sure you bind "reset view" to a keyboard. This way you can properly center the VR view.
If VR appears super broken for you, have you tried switching off the upscaling entirely for now? For me, that took it from "everything's a blurry, headache-inducing nightmare" to "ah, it's a normal game after all". Then a little bit of trying out the quality presets and getting rid of motion blur and depth of field, and it actually works alright in my opinion (also on HP Reverb) with version 0.1.2...
Mine was in the MS store.
I love the way you write. So eloquent.
Once in the virtual environment, turn on STEAM and launch the game with the OpenXR mod.
I have Virtual Desktop and will try launching it through that.
Why do you always have to use some kind of additional program?
I connect my Quest 3 to my PC using a USB-C cable, start the Quest 3, then start Meta Quest Link. Now I start Assetto Corsa EVO in Open XR and it runs perfectly without any problems. Here and there it's not yet optimal, but it's already better than ACC!
Raff, that's exactly what I've been doing and Evo starts, I get the opening EA time line window. After that it loads into the main menu and the VR environment isn't displayed right, but I get the menu overlay shown correctly.
