Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

Awful frame rate 4060
While my PC is not a powerhouse, 7600x, 4060, 32gb, I was expecting to get a decent frame rate as I easily get 4k/60 on ACC with some tweaking but on EVO regardless of any settings I change I get a 15-18fps max, regardless of whether I am in 1080p / 1440p / 4k - the resolution seems to have no efect on fps - running very low preset is the only way of getting the heady 15fps :(

I have tried v-sync on / off, full screen / windowed with no difference - oddly my cpu utilisation is always mega low, under 10% in a screen grab I took on brands hatch.

Any ideas?

Yeah should be higher than that. I have a 4080 running ultra-wide triples. 10320x1440 and I get 65fps on LOW settings. Try enable FSR with Ultra Performace mode. This graphics engine need a lot of work. I normally get 100fps in ACC with HIGH settings.

Dont turn on vert sync
I don't know if everyone knows there is no full screen so to lower the res of the game you must lower your desktop resolution that will speed things up I went from 49 fps to 120 fps
by setting my desktop to 1440p. I am very happy with it all so far they have done a good job of it i look forward to the future of this sim.
also rtx 4060 here, runs locked 60 fps with full grid (23 cars). low-med settigs, dlss off.
turning off grass, clouds and adjusting mirror quali helped here.

recommended specs is a lie:steammocking:
Memory pool seems to have big effect in causing very low FPS as free VRAM runs out so don't exceed what your graphics card can do. I've a 12GB 3080Ti and it runs best on the medium memory pool size, anything less and you'll want it even lower. I'm guessing high is only going to be for 16GB cards and ultra reserved for 24/32GB cards.

I have a 4080super and get at least with 10 cars 10fps at very low settings... maybe because of windowed mode. But I can't figure it out how to run in fullscreen with triple monitor
idk it fills all 16 gb of my vram on my rx6800 regardless of settings it just keeps going up starts around 12-14 gb and performance gets worse as time goes by so def some kind of bug for My setup at the least...

I am just trying a 3rd version of amd drivers now DDU in safe mode after each....really no hope for it working any better also tried some other things making sure it was set to run as high priority tried some compatibility mode as well also making sure the game was selected to run at high performance in the graphics properties.

Also tried verifying files.

My gpu is def not being used correctly as its not using its full wattage only 150 watts when other titles its using 200+ watts also the temp and fans are not going up so its just very noticeable that its not maxing my gpu out.

but yea idk really disappointed to be honest at its actually the worst running racing title FPS wise ive ever ran on this pc getting close to half of the fps of other titles.

The difference between very low 4k with FSR and 4k high with FSR is like 10 fps same with trying to go down to 1440p or 1080p but I'm not sure its keeping the resolution to be honest. 4k ultra does give me very low fps in the 30-40 range with FSR on.

It does feel good for how low the FPS is it just idk doesnt really look very nice to have a almost 60 fps experience....it really does make it look like the old original Assetto corsa so I really hope they can figure it out.

Honestly I love the driving experience so far I have had a few game crashes as well esp changing settings either a long freeze or a crash.

But yea really the first game I have not been able to get it set to what I consider acceptable visuals and FPS I mean it looks ok but not for the FPS im getting it looks like I should have 200 fps lol

I notice streamers having big glitches and freezes while driving I did not have that problem it actually was pretty smooth for being between 50-60 fps most of the time.

Pc specs are i5-13600k and AMD rx6800 (non xt) 32gb 4000mhz ddr4

I notice I get 10-20 more FPS on external views as well even like the trackside replay camera-on ACC i usually get way less fps in this view compared to the cockpit view.
I have RX5700 and i5-12400 in medium setting, it get 40fps in race mode.
But in practices mode..... very lagging
Ryzen 5 5600H, 3060 mobile 130W, 32GB RAM
720p, everything on low dlss performance i get 40 frames. This makes me really sad.

It's not even maxing out the CPU/GPU

Someone stated in an other thread that it might be caused by the CPU and that it's a threading issue (only one core running)

3060ti here, im getting around 40-50fps in practice, that abviously goes down when ai cars are added, from what i can tell im getting very low cpu useage and very high gpu.

My gpu wasn't reaching the power limit nor max utilisation when playing at 2k 3440x1440p. I have a hunch that it might be the CPU using only one core/thread.
3090 over 100 FPS maxed out graphics
