No open world after all?

I was very excited for a more realistic Forza Horizon type game but am i rading this right and the early access has no open world, despite them making their big announcement that this game is open world?

There was a clear announcement that the open world wouldn't be part of the initial early access launch, and would gradually come out at a later time.

It's early access. Was pretty obvious that such a big part of the game wouldn't be in the first release.
They even made a big announcement that it'll release in summer 2025.

I only saw the big "WE ARE OPEN WORLD NOW" trailer where they show off megascanned real life assets in the game and brag how realistic the world is going to be. Then i see early access, so obviously i expect the main selling point - the open world, to be in the game. Shame. I will come back when the game has more... Well, just more. Im not interested in driving the same loops for 10 laps, especially if the game demands to be always online. That alone is enough to make me step away in disgust honestly.
