Assetto Corsa EVO

REQ: PS5 Dual Sense - Native Support (including: Adaptive Triggers & Haptic Feedback)
Dear Kunos,

Could you please implement native PS5 Dual Sense support into AC Evo, including adaptive trigger and haptic feedback support?

I am spoiled on the Playstation 5 and Gran Turismo 7. For a quick test I grabbed my Xbox One X controller to test your new baby out, and I was shocked.
If I had to say... playing with the PS5 Dual Sense with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback compared to playing with the Xbox One X controller and just spring triggers (no rumble) and basic rumble feedback. It was like going from my Fanatec DD2 setup back to my old Logitech G25 setup from decades ago.

So if you can find the time in your busy schedule I think adding full on PS5 Dual Sense support would be a massive improvement for those who race with controllers.
It is worth paying license fees for and also it will make your step from PC to the PS5 console later on a bit easier.

I hope you take it into consideration, if you haven't done so already.

Kind regards,

LogiForce

Would love to have that as well.
I have both a 8bitdo controller and a PS5 controller and want to use the latter because of the better feeling in racing games.

Maybe down the road i will get a "decent" racing setup but for now this is all i have ever played with, so i want it to be as great of an experience as possible. Having full PS5 controller features available would thus be great!

Thank you for considering!
I'm on Linux (Debian12) and have PS5 game controller
If I enable Steam input, I get smooth steering but very slow
If I disable Steam input, I get super rough steering

I do think getting controller as viable option for this game is essential if devs wants to make money not only on Simracers with wheels but from common folk.

I do have steering wheel but due to life situation, I don't have room for it right now so I'm forced to use PS5 game controller, but I think there is lots of folks that have similar struggle.
The solution is to stop using a controller. Either get a wheel or go back to Forza Horizon.

Love the welcoming flair you give off. Thank you.
Now if you buy me the house to put that extra room in to fit the sim setup, i will gladly do. For now, there simply isn't any room for it.

Just buy an R5 bundle from Moza and a 40 dollar wheel stand from Amazon. It doesn't take up much space whatsoever. Get with the program dude. You need to learn some discipline here.

Then don't complain on the steam forums. We don't want to hear you crying.

I have heart failure which makes using a wheel and pedals with all four limbs moving out in front of me impossible as my heart is too weak, hence my move from wheel and pedals to controller. I realise young fit people think all the world is like them but we are not. A little compassion goes a long way. Maybe one day you could be in the same boat.

I am using a Playstation Edge controller and it took about an hour and a half yesterday to rebind the controls. Sometimes the game wouldn't recognise the controllers paddles, other times not recognising the triggers. After an hour and a half doing the same thing the game finally decided to see all parts of the controller so it could be bound properly. It's ok now, but that was really frustrating.

That and he was so full of it he forgot to read that I already have a Fanatec DD2 wheel. Sometimes grabbing a controller is just more convenient for some quick testing, and other times young children might not have the financial means to get expensive gear like wheels and pedals. Or in your case there could be medical reasons.

I just hope Kunos kindly considers it because the PS5 controllers are just a big leap in terms of feedback and control.
Although a missed chance on the Edge is having HAL effect sensors in the thumb sticks. That is the only downside... mechanical wear of the potmeters.

please go back to whatever hole you crawled out of, thanks
+1 Dualsense support
+1more Dual sense suppport pls !! :)
+1 For dualsense!!

I don't have a playstation and bought a PS5 controller specifically for the adaptive triggers. I would love to have actual game support, so that we can feel that the acceleration or braking is at the limit with trigger haptics.

So far, tweaking the trigger resistance with DualsenseX already made my day!

start eating healthy and do some cardio daily like walking its not that hard and your heart will benefit from it.

+ 1000 to Dualsense support but also for Impulse Triggers on the Xbox Controllers. For example in F1 games they give as much feedback as a basic FF steering wheel.
