Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

Wheel not working? POSSIBLE Fix here:
My G29 was not working 100%, only some buttons were working and shifter + pedals + wheel shifters were ok. Except that the wheel was not turning in-game.

Checked lots of posts and the most voted option was: delete bindings from keyboard/controllers (in case you tested the game just like me with a controller first)

Note: my game is in Spanish, so traduction may vary slightly. I recommend you to restart your game between each numbered step. You can do each step with your wheel already connected.

But how?

1) Go to the Controls Menu and at the bottom right you should see an option to manage the default settings of the devices.
You may see the "Keyboard" and "X360" controller settings. Select EACH ONE and click on "Clear/Delete settings" just in case.
They won't disappear from the list, but it may do something and help you discard any basic issue.

*restart game*

2) Go to the Controls Menu. LOOK AT THE TOP for each listed device, select Keyboard and if you see a key binding in any secondary menu (CAR, UI, Camera, etc) click on it and at the right you should see the option "Clear binding".

Note: If you don't see it, the UI has bugs or is not very friendly/functional. Click more times or select the "Properties" sub-menu at the right, it should "light up" when available.

If you see a controller or any other peripheral available at the TOP menu, DO THE SAME: check existing bindings and CLEAR them, one by one sadly. I'd even clear any existing key also from your Wheel, in case the game assigned one by itself.

*restart game*

3) Go to the controls Menu. LOOK AT THE TOP and select your WHEEL. Now bind your keys one by one also.

Note: By now, when trying to bind any key from your wheel setup, the game SHOULD detect all the devices (wheel, shifter, pedals). If that's not the case, go back to number 2 and verify each existing/listed device. NO KEY BINDING SHOULD SURVIVE, only at your Wheel settings menu. And remember to check that the WHEEL IS SELECTED at the top.

I really hope this helps, since this worked for me after restarting, clickin and trying to fix the game by myself. Step 1 and 2 were essential to have no issues at number 3.
Wheel working, pedals and clutch all ok. Also was able to bind the blinkers or other stuff around my wheel buttons and move the menu with my wheel's arrow keys.

FORCE FEEDBACK is weird and had to raise the Vibration setting at 100%. But let's wait for the pro's to test and create FFB guides for each model.

GG and if it doesn't work, I'm sorry. IT'S AN EARLY ACCESS GAME, don't be that mad.
Bye :MCCHELMET:

My MOZA wheel works properly with all my racing sims including Assetto Corsa Competizione. So why could I not get the throttle and brake to calibrate on EVO? (Steering was OK). These needed to be inverted just like in regular Corsa. Highlighting the throttle or Brake under Settings/Controls/ MOZA and clicking on the Invert Axis in Properties did not work. Ready to give up on this game, I tried one more thing. After clicking on Invert Axis, I clicked on APPLY. That made them invert.
