Clutch on a gamepad

Can someone please explain me how clutch is working in this game and how to bind it to some button on a gamepad? And how to customize gamepad bindings at all? Now it seems completely incomprehensible.

Is a manual clutch a fundamental desire? On a gamepad, it needs to be made automatic. In a real car, the brake, gas and clutch are pedals. But on a gamepad, you only have 2 triggers, one for gas, one for brake. There is no point in a manual clutch, it will only get in your way. You will already be 3-4 seconds(after long training) slower than those who use the steering wheel, why do you need additional problems?

In videogames manual clutch sometimes faster than automatic. And there is enough buttons. A for clutch and X\B for gears for example.
