Game not starting on laptop - gpu not supported?
[rendering] [info] Found graphics adapter (video memory 0 MB)
[others] [error] Exception thrown: Failed to find suitable adapter

seems the 860m in my laptop isn't "suitable" even though it supports dx12 and the minimums. sadge.

It supports dx12, should still run even if the fps is low on this card. Regular assetto corsa runs at 100+fps 1080p low even with full ai grid.

I have my main pc at home with a 2080 and more power, so not overly worried, but im on holiday wanted to try it on my laptop with controller..

Why? It literally runs everything "well enough" it's 860m sli which helps but regular ac runs with over 150fps online (was on a 32 player nords server..). All the battlefields, cs2, pubg etc all run with 60+fps and judging from the streams and seeing how the graphics appear it should run. Even if it's 30fps on low, it should still open... that's the point.

Either way I'll be back at my main pc in 3 weeks which will have no issues running it as has a 2080ti in it, just wanted to try it out on controller while away but no online is pretty pointless anyways

If that's the case I hope it's for an actual reason that a technology the game is using isn't supported. If it had bad FPS that's one thing, but it doesn't actually launch.

As above in other post though if that is the case will just play it when back at main pc with wheel, just wanted to try it out while away

Where can you find the min spec requirements to run this game?

Try deleting all files in “ACE” folder in your “Documents “ folder on your PC…I wasn’t able to start after a recent update but after I did this the game booted up normally

Yeah I've tried deleting that and retrying, as well as:
windows defender off
adding it to firewall
pc is fully up to date & nvidia drivers too
it's set to use the nvidia gpu on all menus
i've tried a few launch options with steam like -fullscreen -windowed
controller plugged in, out, etc

I think it's just that this gpu is not supported. Whether its a bug or they are never intending to support it.
Will just wait to play it on my actual pc
