The GR-86 worked fine though, with the stick shift.
Yeah every manual car work for a few minutes and then it stop except for the gr86. But it seems to work as a sequential gearbox (you don’t need the clutch to change gear)
If you've set up a h shifter then manual cars will only pick up on the h shifter & sequential will only respond to flappy paddles (buttons).
The only times when I get into a position that I can't change gear with a h shifter is after I have badly changed gear numerous times & I have assumed, I've busted my gearbox, returning to the pits & everything works fine again. In AC it was clear when you had killed your gearbox but not so obvious in EVO.... if it's even a thing... which I think it is.
Other than that it could be a bug & that I can't help you with.
TLDR if you cant shift, return to pits via menu & see if it works again, if it doesn't its a bug and you need to wait for a fix.
I will try this. Me too, shifter can work for 5 minutes, then stay at neutral for 1 minute, then come back. Never have any issue 9n any other games
