Shifting gears
Guys, I´m not sure what´s going on. I assigned gears 1-7 in the controls menu. When I´m driving with manual transmission, sometimes it works and sometimes I´m unable to shift. Even if I set the assist to auto transmission i have to shift manually.
Have to mention I´m driving with a two pedal setup without clutch. Ii also set the clutch in auto mode.
Ayone with the same issue?

Yep, can't use the paddle shifters have to drive stick with manual clutch
Same here. I can<t figure out how to use automatic transmission. On manual, it work, not work. Can work shifter 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 for 10 minutes, then suddently stop working. I confirm it is not my shifter the problem. Probably because of too many ressources, the game seem to have hard time managed all stuff... It should be fix within the next year ;)

Yeah can shift once or twice then cant at all no matter what
You need to unbind them and rebind in the settings: controller then properties up on the right of screen, 3rd from the right
I don't beleive it is simple fix has this. I realize now that my steering wheel got disconnected. I have this streeing wheel working in many many game and it never disconnected , very stable. Something screw driver or something like that

KUNOS have mention that there is very limited support in Early Access, some work others don't, got a xbox controller cause they work alright as of right now
I found this with the MX-5. For half a lap I could shift, only if I released the gas. Then later I couldn't shift at all.
The GR-86 worked fine though, with the stick shift.

Yeah every manual car work for a few minutes and then it stop except for the gr86. But it seems to work as a sequential gearbox (you don’t need the clutch to change gear)
Trying the version 0.1.2...Can't seem to set automatic transmission vs. manual. Also I assigned the clutch pedal, but it doesn't seem to work (Using the mazda md cup manual)

check the settings/controls for each gear, e.g. click on Shifter Gear 1 and set the 'trigger on' option to 'Press', not 'Constant'. I had to change all seven forward gears, plus reverse, after the initial setup.
Yeah, I have the same problem. The cutch cannot work properly. I try to use auto transmission, but some manual cars are still needed gear shifting.

Update: it's no longer working for me; I've tried via the on-track menu and from the main home page. With a new session I got about half a lap at Imola before all the gear selection failed. (Fanatec CSL-DD, CSL Elite padals and Clubsport shifter).
So there are several factors, some cars come with sequential & manual types, others are only sequential.

If you've set up a h shifter then manual cars will only pick up on the h shifter & sequential will only respond to flappy paddles (buttons).

The only times when I get into a position that I can't change gear with a h shifter is after I have badly changed gear numerous times & I have assumed, I've busted my gearbox, returning to the pits & everything works fine again. In AC it was clear when you had killed your gearbox but not so obvious in EVO.... if it's even a thing... which I think it is.

Other than that it could be a bug & that I can't help you with.

TLDR if you cant shift, return to pits via menu & see if it works again, if it doesn't its a bug and you need to wait for a fix.

I found an issue in the new version 0.2 that if I had the shifter set to manual and clutch set to automatic, it would often slip to neutral when shifting and not work after that. If I set the driver level to Pro with manual shifter and clutch, it worked every time.

I will try this. Me too, shifter can work for 5 minutes, then stay at neutral for 1 minute, then come back. Never have any issue 9n any other games
