VSYNC BUG: There is a bug, which will cut your FPS into half. KUNOS needs to look into that!

Getting solid 60FPS in practice mode, once switching to race, FPS are cut into half = 30FPS. Does not matter, if it is just 1 opponent or 10 or 20.
Settings atm: High + ultra like car details etc, DLAA

There is a workaround, which can cure the bug, but it does NOT work all the time:
Once your FPS are cut, go to setting, Vysnc, turn it on - apply; turn it off - apply --> go back to the race and wait for up to 10secs. Magically your FULL FPS are back.

So, yes I can race with 30 opponents in 5k @60Hz/Fps in HIGH/DLAA

I cant even play the game. its like 1fps and difficult to even select options in menu. Running 4k with 5600x and 4070ti super.
any ideas??
55 fps medium , triple 2k on 3090. That way not what i would be in 6 months... They should think about regular user. What they can do to sacrifice like bird in the sky to get some fps more... For no, we accept kind of this. But men, they have to minimum double that FPS to make this game more larger public

One thing that fixed that insane 30fps bug when racing with AI was forcing Vsync ON on Nvidia driver. The random stuttering still present (in any preset, from low to ultra) but at least the keep on 60fps level almost all the time (4070 ti here)

But overall I think I will wait for some more patches or new gpu driver... But so far there's one thing that I really loved in this game which is the FFB: the best ever in any racing sim with my T300. So I have really high hopes about the future of AC Evo.
3070 getting 30-40 fps DLSS on balanced too everything on medium

I also have a t300, I haven't had much time to tinker but can you please share what in game settings you are using, also what do you use in the TM control panel? So far I was skeptical of ACE but I enjoyed the 40 mins I had with it. It's a slim offering of content, that stinks but it'll get better. They really need to iron out PC performance or people will be upset. Not everyone is going to want to get a 5000 series card. It runs pretty good with my 4070S so I can see the 5000 series really boosting the frames with the dlss4 model. Granted they are fake frames and I admittedly haven't done much sim racing since getting this GPU so idk how it feels in game. I know with most game I dislike frame gen and DLSS on combined. Usually it brings in ghosting so I try to always play native now(or only FG, or only DLSS, different games require different solutions). Game devs are getting lazy, hopefully Kunos doesn't follow their lead. Rocky start but it will get better.

On a side note what CPU do you have? I had no stuttering at all on ultra. I was getting like 120-160 fps on medium settings, then switched to ultra and with 10 AI I was getting 80-110 fps around laguna, native upscaling. I will mess with DLSS later. I played a 10 lap race granted I wasn't able to finish. Ever since I upgraded from a 10600k to a 7600x3d I have had almost no stuttering in games. Before I noticed it was bad with newer games but yea if you have a lacking CPU or a non 3dv cache cpu, make that your next upgrade. At first didn't think the 3dv chips were worth it, but as I've had more time, played more games with it, they are 100% worth it. Esp for sim titles.

Ryzen 5600, 4060 first time playing was okay at 1440 around the 60FPS mark
2nd time switched to 1440 utltrawide and unplayable, constant frame drops below 20FPS and stuttering. Changing the graphics settings seems to have no effect of FPS

I have a 14900K and a 4090. At the minute I am stuck with half the refresh rate of my monitor regardless of the graphics settings i put. Has anyone got a solution to this? I have vsync turned off and no frame caps enabled, yet I am stuck on 72Fps.

So we all agree not the latest greatest system.

Just did a race with 22 cars, FPS was swinging between 50 and 60 on 2K res. even when the rain started.

My ingame settings:
DLSS - DLAA
MSAA - Off
FXAA - Off
Anisotropic - Ultra
Texture pool - High
Detail level - Ultra
Vehicle level - Ultra
Global lighting - High
Ambient occ - Ultra
Volumetrics - High
Env Reflect - High
Car Reflect - High
Shadows - High
Screen Space - Half
Grass - Ultra
Clouds - Ultra

The blur settings that you should always turn off:
DoF - Off
Blur - Off

Mirror res - High
Mirror dist - Ultra

Game still looks great on these settings.

Hope it helps those with low FPS. :vulcansalute:

How is that possible o.O ? with everything set to medium I can't race with more than 35/60fps depending on the car I chose to fill the grid (no matter if it's 5 or 22 cars). In practice no issue tho.
I'm playing on a 2K single screen i7-13700K 32Gb DDR5 3080Ti ....

Hello team!

I5 10400f
Rtx3080
32gb RAM
Resolution 4K 240hz 32"monitor
Native setup no dlss on game
No frames límit setup in game
Full screen mode

In medium graphics setup I got arround 40 or maximum 45fps depending of all configuration, shadows quality, reflections, etc...

In practice mode I got arround 50fps as a lot.
In RACE Mode with 10 Cars IA I got arround 40fps no more.

The image is stable but with low fps frequency and really poor quality.
If I select Dlss (I ve tryied all posibilities) It see worse and no more fps arround 5 or 8 as a lot but with poor quality.
Interior of cars seems is good quality.

In comparison with other games, in ACC for example, I got arround 80 or 90 fps with same PC specs and all at full and hight quality, and the frequency and graphics quality are really better like ACE EA.

In AC with last pure and last csp I got as 90fps as a minimum with hight level quality and stable, and the graphics quality are really amazing in this two games AC and ACC.

I hope You will improve, I have no dubts!

Thanks a lot for your work!

Juanma Lerma.
Game is badly optimized yes it is EA but didn't expect to be barely playable for me.

Tried with low and medium settings on main menu FPS drops from 30 - 20fps and in game fluctuates from 50ish down to 41 fps and lots of stutter and asset loading.

Ryzen 7 5700X
64GB DDR4 3200mhz
RX 5700XT
game installed on an M.2.

resolution 2560x1440(180hz) and tried with FSR performance barely any changes at all.

Prob a cpu issue. I was having issues with my 10600k and 4070S. Now with this 7600x3d (3dv def helps with sim games too) I haven't ran into a game that doesn't run amazing. ACE ran really good for me, even with AI, on native at 1440p on ultra. I'd def start with lowering resolution. Idk I imagine that 10400 is holding you back.

But yea elephant in the room, game is poorly optimized at this point. I seem to be the exception, not the rule. So your mileage may vary.

What made a big difference for me was turning Vsynq off ingame and instead setting a max frame rate, also using DLAA instead of DLSS. Not getting anymore stutters.

Ryzen 7 5800x3d
RTX 4070 super -- 4K@60 fps (TV is only 60hz)
32GB DDR4-4000mhz
SoundBlaster AE-5

Settings pretty close to maxed across the board.
