Nope fps is still bad for me after I changed my GPU from RX 5700XT to RX 7800XT fresh windows install and drivers game auto detects default settings and in menu getting high frame rates and in game doing a practice run solo high fps but once I start driving the fps drops and stutters.
Tried fiddling with all graphics options from lowest to max the FPS is all over the place.
Quite disappointing still if you ask me seems like the game has a long way to go to be on a good playable state, oh and game is installed in an M.2 1TB.
Current hardware:
Ryzen 7 5700XT - stock clocks
ASROCK X570 Steel Legend
64GB DDR4 3200mhz
ASROCK Steel Legend RX 7800XT
Windows 10 OS
27" 2560x1440p(180hz) monitor
You wont take any of this advice, just act like its an attack on you when its just a collective annoyance with how little people read. It's almost like no one actually reads the prior posts, just read the OP, then says ME TOO and replies. Instead of looking at what may or may not solve it in the posts. Good luck.
They should not develop games based on these cpu's because they are very limited in stock and most people will not have them for a couple years.
I have also seen many people with newer stuff complain about having problems.
Im on a 13600k and rx6800 really idk for a couple year old mid range cpu and 4+year old GPU it does ok but not like it performs in ACC I get 3x the fps in ACC. also running at 5.4 ghz
ACC also uses much more of my cpu in the statistics and much higher power draw on the gpu.
So its hard to say there is not a cpu optimization issue or maybe its just a AMD gpu optimization issue as well. Either way its early access
all the test below were in the GT2 Mercedes AMG on Mt panorama when the sun is setting (lots of changes in lights and shadows)
I can get a good 60-70 fps stable with 16 AI 4k medium preset with fsr quality. (start line still low 50-60 as soon as the lights go out Im over 60 stable)
Odly going to 1440p(changed in windows) medium preset with quality FSR is only a 10-15 fps gain about 70-90fps. (still low at start)
1440p high quality with FSR quality is around 75-80fps (also low at Start)
2k high preset no FSR 50-70 fps (only 50 fps at the start line) often dipping below 60 fps if another car is around.
In all the tests the 2nd lap has a little high fps even with a AI driver right in front or around me.
So it just idk doesnt really seem like its scaling very well. Basically seem stuck between 60-80 fps in almost all the settings/scenarios I have tried lol Sometimes with no AI around it jumps to 90-130 fps pretty short lived though.
I feel like my cpu is not being used as much as other games and my gpu also is not really using its full power the 1440p tests it was only using 140 watts normally using 200-210 watts in other games.
Default preset settings, medium or high.
Driving mostly Brands Hatch GP track.
Zero issues for me.
FPS rise to 70-90 fps in replays.
Yep... hold on, let me check
Its nice seeing high fps numbers but the picture quality just isn't great and most games looks blurry and washed out, so I try to always play with FG and DLSS off if possible. You have 3000 series, def would try to sell before 5000 releases to maximize your selling price but I know everyone has different financial situations. I imagine most sim racers use VR or multiple screens so def seems like dev oversight to not concentrate on nailing those down.
I have faith they will sort it, or they are just hoping the 5000 series irons it out, hopefully it's not the latter. But because 90% of game devs are lazy, I will be trying to sell my 4070S asap. It was quite the boost going from just a 3060 ti to this. Let's just hope the 5000 series cards aren't short on Vram.
The roadmap looks stellar but if they don't iron out the optimization, no one will enjoy the free roam as rendering all that will tank even NASA pcs. This is again hoping they aren't waiting for 5000 series and expecting everyone to go get a 5090, that's just not a reality.
Devs need to start keeping track of the steam hardware survey and develop around that. Only 1.16% of Steam users have a 4090.

Well pardon me cause it was late at that time it was a Ryzen 7 5700X
Not gonna buy that statement, so to play this game properly you need a 9800x3d? It just shows bad optimization if my current rig can run all games not only cyberpunk2077 or even space marine 2 at max 1440p and stable frames 60-120fps depending on the situation.
