Once again people fail to realize what early access means b4 they bought into it. Doubt VR is on the devs top priority list, especially on the games launch day.
I think it's perfectly reasonable in early access to voice the concern of the performance or functionality of a feature, helps the devs see which features are getting the most complaints about and let's them know what to prioritize.
3090 Ti 9800X3D Reverb G1 - max 67 FPS with lowest graphic settings all around and using openxr toolkit with FFR, no supersampling >> NOT DRIVABLE VERY POOR OPTIMIZATIONS FOR VR

To be fair, that's better than EA WRC after a year of development and being announced "VR supported" for half a year... :)
Thanks to this thread, I held off on buying ACE today. With over 1000 hours in AC, I was also going to buy it as soon as that button turned green today but my sim rig is VR only, no screens on it, and after seeing these posts I guess I'll wait a little bit.

I'm still loving AC as my go to sim so it's all good. I knew it wasn't going to be an immediate switch from AC to ACE on day one. These things take time just like AC did to become the masterpiece is it today.
Double pictures (trailing) on right lense (Quest3) like AC1 Nordschleife Mod with KI. No other Game has this desynchron lense frames
nah VR is fine with da right settings
4070 Super, Quest 3, Link Cable, AC Evo in XR mode.

it was ok for the first 2 min on mount panorame, but then big freeze and very low fps after the freeze.
Why there is not an "oculusVR" render mode? wtf, oculus devices are the best seller.

Any workaround for those who have the side by side issue where VR is not propperly displayed inside the HMD?
turning off fpsVR worked for me.

Kunos promoted the game as VR ready on Day 1.

We now find they meant day 1 of 2026!

Erm, yeah 100% sure they meant day one of the full release and not EA.
at the mo for me vr is heavily cpu bound with out properly using the cpu.. on a 5700x3d at 43 fps im massively cpu locked while all threads barely hit 50%..
seen some on else with a 5900x playing on all ultra settings while streaming so could be an x3d issue.
remember its using open xr so if you have VD use it instead of steam vr.
not to concerned as it lookjs like a general CPU usage issue so i have no doubt the game will be patched for it very soon
sure it will get there - current unplayable - it is early access though - hang in there

I have spent an hour testing with an i9 12th gen and RTX 3090 using both Air Link and Virtual Desktop.

In summary, did 'anyone' at Kunos actually put on a headset and think this was an acceptable product to state as 'vr ready from day 1?? Seriously?

The showroom area and menu area tears badly, doesn't detect mouse or vr controllers so had to be navigated with an xbox controller. (Having seen how appalling it is on launch, there's no way I'm bothering to try it with my wheel and pedals)

Launched a practice session at Brands Hatch - sat in the pits, looked into the garage and there is lighting flicking on and off as you move your head.

To be fair, when I strated driving the car, it ran pretty well on ultra but in vtryou have hud elements like tyre pressure, speed, gear, driver info in front of you which, if you are used to driving without all that crap in your face, you are stuck with. The HUD sections in settings is greyed out and not available.}

The right hand wing mirror is black, shows nothing on the Abarth. I couldn't be arsed to check any other vehicles. I was so disappointed. I was expecting some sort of next gen look but it doesn't seem much of a leap from AC with mods or AMB 2 which at least treates vr properly.

Runs fine flatscreen with Virtual desktop but VR is far from good.

Expected more.

you can move all hud elements independently with the mouse while in the car just like ac 1
