Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

Steam Deck?
Will this run on the Steam Deck? Not really much of a point buying it if it doesn't.

Hahaha AC on a Steam Deck, now that's funny.

Don’t listen to others. I don’t have access to my PC often, and I will be enjoying this for the most part on the deck (if it runs). I’ve clocked over 100 hours in ACC on my deck.

Not everyone understands that not everyone is available on their PCs all the time. Just enjoy on whatever platform you want

Lil blud if M4x can play iRenting on a controller, you can also play AC/ACC/ACE on a controller/steam deck.

Performance might be an issue. I would wait and see if one or more of the Steam Deck Youtubers tests it before buying, to get an idea of how it performs.

To all the ignorant plebs in here : the SteamDeck (and all other similar devices) is nothing less than a laptop with a built-in controller in its case rather than a keyboard. Means you can plug stuff like a screen, wheels, pedals and use it as you would any computer.

I know, shocking.

To be fair though, the OP should have asked if ACE is SteamOS compatible, as this is way more relevant.

i gave u Jester award cuz u really deserved it , steam deck is capped at much much less FPS than an average PC and it has storage problems considering how big games are these years so dont call it " nothing less than a laptop " especially if it has nothing but games on it

Thank you for the award, you won't get one even you deserve it more than I would. Your last statement just proove further you have no idea what you are talking about. Regardless enough of derailing the topic with your interventions that have nothing to do with the question. Go troll elsewhere.

its not about that, its about this quote from op

"Not really much of a point buying it if it doesn't"
asks for a sim, if its compatible on a handheld device and states it wont be worth buying if its not supported lol. thats whats wrong with it, not the fact that a steamdeck is a laptop in a different form factor

The Steam Deck is only capped by the limits of its performance so that will depend on the game, though in ACE's case I do see that being the main issue.

Storage is only an issue if you have a lower end Steam Deck model and don't want to open it up to install a larger NVMe. I have the 500GB OLED model and have a number of games installed on it, including Automobilista 2 which is over 100GB. There's the SD card slot too but that's probably best used for older games. USB storage is a third option but again perhaps better for older/not so storage speed demanding games.

Edit: at least one of the third-party docks I've seen has a NVMe slot for storage expansion.

No idea yet. But i guess as soon as the game release some people may find time to test . Cant say for me but I will try if I got time tomorrow on my deck. First I will try on my main computer in VR .
