Dead Game? 98% of playerbase GONE

Nobody wants to buy and play it

Everyone is just playing original AC or ACC

Is there any chance for this title to come back to life after such a disastrous launch?

Why am I personally asking? Because I see no incentive to be spending that much money on this when original AC can be picked up with all the DLCs at a fraction of what I'd pay for this barebones product, even at 20% off

Besides, big thank you for ruining my RU currency so that its the second half of most expensive currencies for ACE, but not original AC where its second cheapest or ACC where it is THE cheapest

Either way, this is all just way too funny

By the way, performance is trash. AC still to this day looks great, I'd say, and it delivers. I can get 100-something FPS in original AC on very high settings on my RX 580 while I am gonna get like 35-60 according to the benchmarks I saw on YT on like lowest settings? Is this a joke?

The game doesn't even look that advanced to be this slow, and yes, I do know my GPU is very obsolete but still. At this point I'd rather spend some 300$ on getting a brand new G29 wheel and play original game with a whole bunch of mods than trying to get a 500$ GPU just to get good FPS and play with a mouse

p.s. Yes, I did a correction because 95% wasn't accurate enough. With the top concurrent player count being 25.7k, nowadays daily top player count reaches like 500-600 players which is only 2% roughly, so yeah, 98% it is. Just to rub more salt in the wounds of fans of this title xDDDD

Those who are disappointed like you are those who thought they could play it as a finished game already.
We all know the final version is due to the end of year.
I bought it because it was cheap and I don’t care if I don’t play it much at the moment, my goal is end of 2025, may be sooner if we have MP before that.
What I like to know so far, because I could test it at this early stage, is I like the physics, graphics and sounds.
The most important things in a sim game.
Of course it’s badly optimized for now, but they can fix this in the coming months.

AC Evo hasn't launched yet.

What we have is early access to a development version of the title. Public alpha versions like this are feature incomplete and lack optimisation.

It is a win win for the community though, as you can play the title months in advance, perhaps enjoy what is already there, and save money on the title when it launches. If you don't enjoy early access to a title, you can wait for its release, or request a refund if you are within the Steam guidelines for a refund.

The alternative would have been closed alpha and beta releases or simply no early access period, which would mean you and I wouldn't be having this conversation for quite some time.

Dude, the game is in early access in early development. There's no content in the game yet, why should people log in every day? People will come back when there are big updates and when they add multiplayer.

This is a rather silly take, I'm afraid. Plenty of people play Early Access games, but not this particular game. Stop blaming it all on "EA" state.

Come back when the "game" is finished and launched, then you'll see the real player numbers. Comparing players counts now 2-3 months in to early access is kinda dumb. People aren't playing this every day, we have other working complete sims. I'm guessing most people test this, report bugs, then repeat next content drop.

I'm playing it. I'm enjoying it. Updates are coming. Why should I care whether you are playing it or not?

I have about 233 games and right now I'm not playing any of them. Later I will play one and not the others. That doesn't tell you anything about how good the games are or what I think of them. I'm not reading a book right now or watching a movie - does that mean all books are bad and all movies suck? No.

I got ACE as my main driving sim for the future and I want to get on board now so I can get to grips with the grip (see what I did there) and handling. As for EA, I am disappointed in the actual lack of common sense and how stupid some people are, every forum of an EA game spouts the same S*** about the game not being finished and unplayable. Maybe I am just lucky that every EA game I have bought, just works, and maybe I am not as dumb as I thought I was because I understand about what sort of a game an EA release means.

I cannot understand the mentality of some people. I personally have AC, ACC, ACE, AMS2, RF2, LMU, F!-24, Dirt rally 2 ETS, ATS. Now just because I bought ACE, it doesn't mean I stop playing my other driving sims. Some people are like, you release ACE in EA which has very little content and you have ruined my life. FFS go play another game.

Allright, I'm gonna look up the difference between the 2. Thanks for suggestion. I'm kinda scared to buy a used wheel because the leather may be worn out, and there may be cracks in it

So are you basically saying that every single person who downvoted this title is just stupid in your opinion and shouldn't be able to voice their opinions? The game is indeed barebones, even for an EA title? I am not the only one complaining about this stuff, you know. People's expectations were way higher, and devs disappointed them big time

They already knew how to make and release their THIRD game, and they totally dropped the ball

This game is just a money grab. I don't believe the devs claiming they're gonna have 100 cars at 1.0 launch. It's already been 2 months since the actual launch, barely anything was added

Also, it's funny you telling people not to do something when you did exactly just that - buy the game, that is barebones and lackluster in content. Who are you to dictate what others should or shouldn't buy? This game shouldn't have had this disastrous launch to begin with. It shouldn't have been released in such a state
