Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

games keeps tossing corrupt download at me
the install on the ssd only had 30gb of space left, the update said something around 130gb and failed at like 40 something, though It ran out of space moved some games around, made about 200gb and couldn't get it to not corrupt, thinking its a steam issue using old files already downloaded, I uninstalled and reinstalled

it failed at 45.3 of 45.5

ok, maybe the drive is the problem, uninstalled and move the install to a different drive (a hdd not ssd) and while it took a while, failed 45.3 of 45.5

I tried restarting steam thinking it may purge something it didn't.

anyone else having this issue or is this a fun me thing?

so far nothing else is having an issue besides the internet cutting out momentarily and tossing a no internet error (we had some bad storms)

-- small edit/addition

I just finished a few large updates to games on the same drive that started the corrupt download, and move a large game to the hdd with no issues

I think something borked on the original update, and remnants of that are screwing with the current attempt to re install.

I think the game is only 45gb so im not sure whats going on. If you join the Assetto corsa discord there is a section that gives some troubleshooting tips.

I think you would need to remove the whole ACE folder there are detailed instructions in the discord if you want to try and save your settings but honestly if your having issues you might just want to skip that and remove it all.

I would also maybe just try to uninstall or remove w.e is there and start over.

I actually have a pretty full drive so I could not even install the update I had to uninstall the game to make room to be able to re-download and install the game with the update.... lol

steam has been tossing me asinine numbers at this games updates for a while, I figured it was some visual glitch, probably was, but a corrupted download for some reason now wont let it re install.

deleted the ace folder and will try again, I changed my wheel since the last time i tried playing the game anyway so its not a major deal.

ok, I went to my brothers computer, since I had him install it as well a while back, turend on local transfers between us, and went to update his game, corrupt on his computer too, so I redid the patch and it worked, went to mine, and it corrupt downloaded again, this time the full thing from the file transfer, and I retried it and it was successful...

no idea what the hell this was all about, this game seems kind of cured on our hardware.

Dude, u need space for download first, before install. Change temp area in steam...if u have another drive - use em for temp location.

problem is kind of solved, I installed it on a drive that had 2tb of free space and freed up space so I could install the game 4x over, and there was still a problem, only with this game though.

no idea what the issue was, but its as of now resolved.
I wonder if its something with the file transfer- At least you got it working now!

his file transfer was turned off for some reason, I thought that too but weirdness with steam and i would have to consider other aspects all failing at once,
Same problem here... I don't know what to do
Having exactly the same issues, it either won't download/update anything past the 45.3 of 45.5 mark without giving me anything (even an error) after hours of it (supposedly doing... something) - or it returns me a Corrupt Download error label.
I guess it is time to uninstall it once more, and await patiently for another content drop.

(Because yeah, I miss my Lamborghini Diablo VT, Ferrari 550 Maranello, and Jaguar XJ220)

Unistalled game too. I tried to open a Steam ticket. I hope the can help us. If they do, I'll paste the solution here.

had another game corrupt download and then content unavailable, I checked the drive, its at least reporting to me fine.

clear download cache, go again and its fine, I kind of think there is a hiccup on valves side or the isps in-between along with no great way for valve to work around the issue.

because it happened on 2 computers, 3 drives, i'm probably less concerned with it than I would otherwise be.
I found myself a solution. I hope that this works for you too:

I have simply uninstalled Steam and installed it again and now it works! No more Corrupted Data or anything else!

ill do that as a worst case, its always a pain in the ass re setting everything up.

heres hoping the problem was cache junk and a hiccup on their end.
