Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

Kunos ?
I am wondering how companies don't learn buy their mistakes and keep making them.
Kunos on the other hand have made the best sim racing games ever in my opinion your's might be different. Assetto Corsa and ACC.
So how the hell after making such fantastic games as these could they possibly go and F--k it completely up. Yes I know it is early access but I am afraid they are going in the wrong direction. All they had to do was improve on what is already a fantastic game, yes a bit out of date and the AI was is absolutely useless. But with today's Tech all you had to do was improve the graphics the sounds and most of all the AI and chuck in a career mode and for goodness sake keep the absolutely incomparable Modding of the game and you had a winner. But no you think you knew better than your customers and that I dear Kunos is where you went wrong. I am sorry but you will have change a lot of basics, No 1 this game has to be completely moddable like AC and you have already decided you are not going to do it so just on this you will fail. I do not know how you could stuff this opportunity to make AC greater than it is already, my hat man you made the game just make it better you have had 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mate i appreciate your effort for posting this wall of text.

but you failed in one point: your critic is not based on facts. why do you blaim Kunos for "not adding Mods and therefore it's a fail"? have you even read about AC Evo before complaining?

to make you happy: Mods will be possible. but not during EA. it was confirmed over and over again by Kunos "Boss" in a lot of interviews. Mods are not included right now because they have to focus on the core gameplay.

so just be patient my fellow racing-enthusiast
Yes you are quite right but I think you missed the main point of what I was actually saying.
Thanks for your reply.

and what's the main point you are saying?....
as far as i understand it, besides you love modding, you want them to "just update the graphics, AI, sounds" of the very outdated original AC, right?

that would be the biggest mistake for them and especially for us racers. the physics of the old AC was obviously so limited that they decided to start from scratch. and we can allready feel that the ACE physics are a huge step forward.

i know, a lot of people got used to the old AC ffb / physics and told themself "this is real". it was not and Kunos know that they can deliver better - with all the experience they gained from AC / ACC....

so i stay with my statement: just be patient my fellow racing-enthusiast

(soon we will hopefully explore the Nordschleife in ACE and never think back to the old AC times. you too will probably quickly get used to the new improved physics engine and later look back "in shame" at this post, in which you accuse Kunos of having completely failed ( F--k it completely up as you write)....

Greetings from Switzerland
You don't update a more than 10 year old game, if you want to do it better, you make a new one by taking all the good things of that game and building on top of that. ACEvo wants to do just that, and we'll see in time if they manage to do that.

How annoying you are with your shouts about mods. Do you even know how to read? Go read EULA and don't bother yourself with writing useless text anymore!

Well if they did this then they didn't make a mistake to learn from did they?

ACE is better in every respect than AC1. If you can't see that then it is you that is making the mistake.

So now we have 2 mistakes you've made that you can show everyone how learning from them is done.

No ripped cars and tracks from other games in Evo

That’s what you get from ripping it all from other games
start to learn 3D modeling yourself!

There will be mods, they will only allow the best of the best from creators.
About time really, no more janky mods pumped out or ripped from other games.

Another casual coming crawling from under a rock to buy their first game, not to mention EA.

What most people like you don't know or understand is how bad and bare AC1 was.

Yes, ACE has issues that need to be ironed out, but it's far superior in many ways than AC1 was at launch.

What people don't understand is how complex game development really is. even for large multi-billion dollar companies. Kunos is a very small studio that is working to build their own game engine. that is what you call dedication. they could of easily went the easy route and use a premade generic engine, yet they didn't.

Give them a year, then asset.. it's extremely ignorant to buy an EA game and expect a fully polished game less than 3 months after launch.

perhaps it's time to evaluate whether buying early access games is for you.

You are right. Start your own game dev company and show them how it's done. I'll wait.
ACC is terrible. AC1 is good though and ace right now in its early stage is the worst game theve made. FFB is mush and physics console like

I think you have nothing to talk about at all... 5 hours in the game. LOL. You won't even have time to warm up the tires on all the cars, let alone find the right pressure.
