Trailbraking on controller, any tips?

So, I'd like to ask controller players about trailbraking: how do you use it?

I have pretty strange issue: I may use my right trigger (I use xbox-type controller), I may control my gas pretty accurate, but when I try to do the same with brakes (left trigger), It's kinda hard for me to do this with my left hand. I mean, it's not some controller-related issue (triggers are equal in terms of sensivity), it's just my left hand struggles to do such things as smooth as regulary right hand does.

Maybe someone met same issues? How do you handle it? Or it's just about a lot of practise, since I'm kinda new in sim-games, meanwhile in regular arcade racing games it's just enough to brake at full and you don't have to be worry about it.

Maybe practice more?

I use my left hand all day long IRL (for clutch control) and I find trail braking fairly simple. Pretend there's an egg between your finger and the control :-)
