I noticed that the game when first installed would use the selected "default" windows audio device. For example I was able to select either speakers or headset through windows sound settings, which would be respected by the game - with audio being played from the desired/selected source.
At some point, I made a manual change of output device through ACE settings. Since then, the game will not respect the selected "default" windows audio device. I now must manually change the audio device in game each time I wish to change it. This requires a restart, and is quite silly really.
It could be worth the devs considering adding a "windows default" device option in audio settings. This would help mitigate what is (for now) a rather clunky, outdated, and unrefined experience.
