Wouldve been more than enough for the first Assetto Corsa. So probably for the second too, assuming you lower settings?

That said, gaming laptops can be pretty wonky, so no guarantee on that.

For comparison, I have a 4080 laptop. I easily play ams2, iracing, lmu, and even acc in virtual desktop on mediun settings on quest 3 special codec (ac1 or whatever its called) at max 200 mbits at 72hz.

The biggest difference is i have 4gb extra vram, but ive heard 8gb (your 4070) is mostly fine.

What are you trying to say?
I'm also interested in this topic and would like to know the requirements for VR.

My rig:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700K
RAM: 32.0 GB
GPU processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

I will play it on Oculus 3 with OpenXR which was great so far for iRacing but ACC is more VRAM consuming so I wonder how will EVO perform in VR.

Same GPU as myself, I should imagine you will be fine. Avoid Meta Link if you can as this uses 1.5-2GB of VRAM by itself, I recommend Virtual Desktop but if not check out oculus killer.
Avec une 4070S sur AC et ACC c'est déjà pas fou en Multi, on sent déjà que les 12gb de Vram sont limites....alors sur Asseto Corsa EVO! pas sur.

Where is this 1.5 GB info from? Virtual Dektop does support only Wifi, not link cable, so not a proper solution for best performance.

From testing with and without it, give it a test yourself and you will see.

There is no difference between a cable and decent WiFi for the Q3, it all has to be encoded and decoded anyway.

Thanks man, I will check it out and let you know, also feel free to write back with your findings.

Well...I assumed it will not be that great but idk what to say...I got a whole 1 FPS :D
And I even overclocked a GPU a little.
So sad right now! ;(
For meta quest users, try to run with virtual desktop, it will improve the performance a lot, like a miracle.

It sounds like the game is a mess performance optimisation wise especially on VR, I'd refund or wait it out and hope they fix it.

I'm avoiding it after reading the reviews...
