If you set it to "offline" in the settings then you have access to the original 20 cars for practice and quick race
The game hands over a lot of money to you, just do some races with the car you bought and buy the next one. Also, as you have to unlock higher car classes anyway with the license tests, try those and you make money while unlocking more cars to buy.

Just play the game, you will have way too much money very soon, it's not really a grind in its current stages.

whyat? i only had money for 1 s2000. that's it. I cant even rent another car.
I'm not gonna race ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cars so i can drive what i wanna drive
Yes, you can only buy one car at first, but just select one you like (the Golf 8 GTI is not that bad and fun to drive), do some few races or do the license tests so you make tons of money easily. As you have to do the license test anyway for progression this will be your best choice, at the point you have everything on three stars you will have some million dollars and can buy what you want.

Of course, you can also do what others have mentioned, just go back to offline mode, ignore the progression system and all cars are available to you again (the way it was prior to v 0.1.5).

Bruh, it's easy to get money really. I'd already have 4/5 with 2 supercars, just have fun and play dude
just do the challenges, you get like 25k for 3* and you can just repeat them for the same reward. should only take like 10 mins to get a few hundred k. i did all the challenges, (like 6 3* and rest 2* and 1*) and ended with like 650k

so you're saying i got 30 mins to do sim a week, and instead of playing with the car I want, I have to spend time doing challenges and I wont get to play the car I want until a month into it? cool story bro. im glad u replied with ur logic
No, just turn off online mode and you can race what you want.

In the main menu, got to settings, then select "gameplay/hud" section and there you can switch off the online mode. As time really matters to you there is also an option to skip the game intro, this might be worth a try for you.

This is a total non-issue. After 30 minutes of play I had plenty of money to 'rent', or you can switch to online. But if you truly have 30 minutes a week to sim, have you asked yourself if simming is for you? Maybe forza horizon?
Well... you can have a lot of fun with the game even in 30 minutes a week. I don't see what should make Forza Horizon suit him better than ACE, in fact it's the other way around: In ACE you can just choose a car and a track, start a race and have fun for 30 minutes, in Forza Horizon... well... that games throws so much nonsense game modes at the player, someone who just wants to race won't be happy with that.

Simply disable the online mode and all the content is unlocked. If one day, maybe when you have vacation or something else that gives you a bit more of time, you can do some stuff in online mode, unlock the cars you want and add the progression system to your experience - if you find the time to do that, of course.

For me the progress in the license trials (XP, money, and unlock of next trial) saves only 50% of the time. I just play offline mode and ignore it for now. I'm not saying I hate the idea, but in the current state it is too annoying for me. I just want to drive, so offline mode is the way to go. No issues whatsoever there.
