Just borrowing/buying vehicles for money? Forced to join the academy?

I have just installed the latest patch. I am a bit confused. Should it stay like this, that you have to do the academy to race? Do you also have to buy the car you want to race in the final version? Or will there be modes? A career mode and a race mode? If it's just academy and buying cars, I've bought the wrong game.... Please make it like ACC.

It will not be like ACC. It is basically trying to be Gran Turismo. Making ultra rare cars so expensive, you'll be forced to swipe.

i can tell you after doing all the licenses twice i dont think they have a place in the game. theyre tedious and not fun at all.
game is supposed to be fun not work. (theyre easy enough theyre just not needed)

theres no need for an economy either. we will buy the cars we want then money is 100% immediately useless.
they might as well just all be available right from the start.

gating content is bad form in 2025.

wasting dev time on features that dont work in practice and that people REALLY DONT LIKE is also bad form.

I think this is the first racing game with good FFB, physics, wheel support, and nice game elements that give me something to do to unlock even more fun
