Academy? Really
Don't teaches nothing that you don't learn on practice and race mode.
Better call it Test Drive.
Else, the cars you have to drive it's no way to practice, just try and try and try. Boring.

i absolutely agree. what's the point in driving one corner of a track for 20 seconds and then have to reach for the mouse, click menues, go back and select the next 20 second experience.

instead of this "academy" they could have done something similar to the "track medals" in ACC, where you actually had to drive a track (and so learn it) to "earn something".

this whole academy at the moment seems really rushed and is no fun at all. and it doesn't teach anything.
Agree. A big joke. And it is bugged for me at the end... I get no stars or completion doing the Master Suzuka with that horrible Porsche 992...it seems I am driving on a ice track.

the ford escort is bugged....complete it in 35.8...comes back failed...not even leaving track...dull as dishwater too....Evo is STILL a pile of crap at this point
energy thrown to the wind:stop:
yes seriously we dont need licenses or to buy cars just let us have sandbox mode.

dont need an economy or anything like that its all wasted development time

Yeah, they are trying to copy GT7 or Forza? Nobody ever cared for that in AC or ACC, why would we want that now? Back to AMS2...will try in one or two months this thing again...

What happens if you're an old slow poke who fails the minimum times? Can you never get access to the cars?

Plus, is there a guide somewhere that explains progression / licenses and car purchases etc? I haven't a clue what the score is right now.
Did you get all 3 stars? Because you need some skills to get them imo. Slow entry, fast exit, using all the track, pushing the car to the limit that's some pretty basic skills but that s almost all you need to be fast. Maybe they should give some hints though about the theory
RD Feb 5 @ 8:42am
But what if you don't play to be fast? And just want to enjoy the game?
Duis Feb 5 @ 8:45am
I'm just playing a game. I know what you say and its not for getting more or less stars, its just about GAMEPLAY and that do not deserves the concept ACADEMY when teaches you nothing and you have to examine with cars that you can't access. If you could do it with the car you have purchased that will be ok, you can pactice and then have a test.

You need to get at least 1 star to unlock consecutive tests and then to obtain the license. And since you can't even rent cars you don't have license for... well, perhaps the offline mode wasn't so bad after all... :)
I strongly agree. They really allowed such an amazing idea go to waste. They most definitely should have implemented a voice over of a professional guiding you through the courses.

My feeling is that Kunos is completely missing the mark with this title :/
