Don't buy it on sale, pay full price when you makeup your mind.

It does what it does now really well. Physics / handing and driving the cars around the track are all superb. The best I've played.

So if you enjoy driving around a track there are 20 cars and 5 tracks - a couple with a couple of layouts. Pretty much everything else is TBD. Although there are AI in the launch game there are a lot of issues.

The best time to have it bought it was last week when it was 20% off.

Everything else depends on your specs.
Yes, it's that good. Simple.
Excercise your patience and atleast wait. keep an eye on https://gg.deals/game/assetto-corsa-evo/ for a deep discount if you do feel like diving in.

*Theres no exclusive content at the current time thats been polished.
*Everything ingame is online only, from HUD settings to cars and tracks.
*Still no reliable server functionality despite designing the game as online only.

Will you buy it in the end ?
If you think so, buy it right now because it’s cheap at the moment.
If you buy it now will you be able to play it right away ?
May be, if you have a strong enough PC.
The driving feels good but the graphics engine requires good machines, I think they are having big trouble to fix this and it may delay everything.
Wait.
The game needs always on, but servers are still off. So nothing to do right now. AI is crap. So nothing to do.
If you're not willing to give mature feedback on bugs and other issues to help in early alpha, WAIT and buy in 6 months.

We have enough whining every day from people who have no idea what they're buying.
Currently, there is not much content like the demo version, so it is better to purchase it after the official release. I think you can play at 1080p if your computer meets the recommended environment.
If you want to support the devs to get a decent sim (maybe) in a year or longer: yes.
For everything else: No.

If you want the best simulation with the best and most realistic physics on the market, go and buy LeMansUltimate for less money first.
For me you can buy

buy it now and watch it evolve over time, and help provide constructive feedback. keep in mind that it's in very early stages, but it doesn't mean it's not fun. just limited content.. it's fun helping the game grow into something you'll enjoy for a long time later on. for me that's priceless and unlike many things you spend money on, this is an investment.

wait it only at demo lvl and for most there is no FFB in DD wheels
Do not buy. They designed the game to be a live service yet the online hasn't worked since launch. This is clearly not ready for early access

That's a blatant lie. Thousands of people with many different wheels are playing with FFB, which feels great by the way.

Early access is for enthusiasts (which many seems to miss) so you need to make sure you are willing to wait for things to be perfect. The ai is for instance completely useless currently and weak hardware will work bad if at all. If you plan to buy at release, buying now makes more sense as the price is lower and you can follow the development.
