Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

Low FPS serious optimization
I bought the game in early access basically because of the discount, and hoping that they fulfill the complete roadmap in the future. So I understand that the game is poorly optimized right now, but I would still like to be able to play it, regardless of having low fps. But it literally runs at 4fps for me.

In the graphic settings, I disabled everything, and left everything at a minimum, absolutely everything. In the menu it goes to 20fps and in a game it goes to 4fps. I mean unplayable.

Maybe my computer doesn't support the game? I think I am within the requirements but I have no idea at this point.
- Ryzem 5 3500x, Radeon RX5500 XT 4GB, 16GB Ram.

Or do any of you recommend checking something, updating or configuring something so that the game can go better. What can I do?

Thank you!!

This game is terrible at vram usage. Your 4GB would be full I'm sure even in the menus. My rtx 4070 vram is almost full in the menu. I wouldn't have high hopes of it ever being that optimised.

Well its tough to say but your GPU is probably below spec. According to techpowerups chart the 5500xt is basically the same performance as a rx580, BUT the rx580 still has 8gb of Vram so double the amount of the 5500xt.

Once your Vram limit is full the game will basically fall apart and not be able to load textures in or work properly.

AC Evo uses probably the most Vram I have seen....many people with 8gb newer cards are struggling. It probably will get a little better as time goes on...

Sadly I think you would really want a 12+gb GPU for this game its kind of sad to think.

Anyways even my rx6800 is not doing good when compared with other games. 2-3x less fps then I would think I should get.

Also seems to be CPU heavy in general it just seems like some people get ok performance and some people get terrible performance almost regaurdless of pc specs,

some people with very similar hardware to me are saying they get double the FPS as me so idk, all I do know is I have used DDU and reinstalled 4-5 different driver versions and did all the other things I can think of to possibly help and I still am just not getting the FPS I would think I would get.

luckily I can still get 60-70 fps at 4k medium preset balanced FSR its just on ACC I get 150-200 fps on those settings...

Since I have never had problems with other games, I thought that my components were still useful to run some current games at minimum quality.

But it seems that after 5 years, it will finally be time to update. thank you and I will keep it in mind

99% players have issues with low fps

Same problem here!

Just unplayable.

My specs:
Intel I5 10400f
Radeon RX 5700 XT 8Gb
32gb ram
Win 10
I5 8600k OC 5000Mhz
RAM 24Gb OC 3000Mhz
RX 5500 TX 8Gb OC

I also have low fps around 20fps stopped on the track.
In menu go to 60 fps.

I've already raced with Fiat with 10 cars and fps 20 to 30 depending on the location of the track.

I know the game is still in development.

The thing that I notice is very strange is the consumption of the board, something that I cannot understand in comparison with ACC.

In ACC I have it locked at 60 FPS, the GPU varies between 80 to 90% usage and consumption is around 100w.

When in Evo the GPU is at 98% but consumption is around 50w I don't even hear the fans increasing rpm.

It looks like the GPU is not being used as it should.

CPU on average 60 to 80% the PC does not slow down.
RAM is used entirely
