Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

FPS so bad
I have a somewhat basic gaming pc, I5 10400f, 16gb ddr4 and a gtx1660. Still I run base assetto corsa at around 200fps, I booted AC EVO and have got nothing over 15 fps on lowest settings. why is this? steam says that this game will play great on my pc?

Game is not Optimized in case of Early Access they released it yet because people started crying and now we have another unfinished beta

Its werid that this game runs that badly for you. Ive got Ryzen 2600/16 GB RAM/GeForce 1660. Im playing on medium and when im alone its like 40-60 fps and with 9 AI's 30-50.

Game is not well optimised for now and you need to wait.

But how about your last words? How steam said to you that this game will play great on ur PC? You dont even meet minimal requirements.

actually a 1660 is very close and better than at least one of the min recommended cards the rx580. rx580 is supposedly 87% the performance of a 1660 while a gtx1070 is 115%

You cant really say low vram either as the 5600 is only 6 gb as well and is probably about 115-120% of a 1660.

So rx580 is about 10-13% less performance and a 1070 and rx5600 is probably 15-20% above a 1660.

A 2070 is about 50% better then a 1660.

I used techpowerups chart to figure this out they dont have a rx 5600 though just the xt variant.

if you scroll down a little you see the box that says relative performance it will set the gpu you want to 100% and tell you if something is 150% or 75% the performance...

I do think often the min requirements mean for a 30 fps experience....idk why they do that it should be more specific and... realistic.

Its early access my man. AC, and ACC worked bad as well in this stage. AS I said game is badly optimised for now and 6GB VRAM is a problem too.

I am suprised that its working "good" for me when I saw game is using almost all memory from 8GB VRAM cards.

But weird thing is that with same card like mine its working that bad for you. But yeah... some guys cant even start game with cards like Geforce 3070.

99% players have issue with fps
I have tried multiple " optimisations " but have not seen near a single increase of frame rate, I assume that my best bet will just to wait for them to optimise the game but with all this dlss and stuff I figure soon enough most new releases will become unplayable on the gtx cards.

The significant different in frames compared to AC on high settings was quite a shock to the system seeing my gpu launch to 80-90+ percent usage getting around 40 frames on very low settings just in the lobby.

Im not sure if it was a visual glitch or im tripping balls but pretty sure when I went to purchase the game it had a pop up saying it will run great or something along those lines. I did not question it considering the fact that the gtx 1660 surpasses the AMD RX 580 in most if not all benchmarks I have seen.

I agree with this, I think steam minimum requirements should be set to standard where the game is playable even if it is 60fps medium settings.

no mount of optimization is going to ever give you reasonable fps with that hardware.. at least a 2070, while still obsolete, has deep learning Ai, the other does not.
A GTX1660 is a very old card now and it wasn't even top of the range when it was new so you either need to curtail your expectations and stick to old games or upgrade to a much newer higher spec graphics card (and CPU, memory etc)

terrible FPS, optimization on triples is a joke. After 2 weeks the game still doesnt have the features they promised for early access release date.
fps is great for me, rtx 2060 super plus ryzen 3600, in full hd medium-high, 85 fps

When I select triple screens DLSS is not enabled. Van adjust the view+ screen angle, bezel whit but FPS sucks indeed. Stop driving and wait for the next update...
