I have attached screenshots to what vr looks like for me now. On the previous version, the game at least worked correctly in that both eyes displayed the image properly, even if it was widely unacceptable performance and other issues. But presently, it's displaying 2 images in the top left portion of the screen. The menus are shown correctly in the headset. That's how it looks in the headset. I'm confident it'll get ironed out. Hopefully sooner than later of course :p. I'm patient.

disable all upscaling in flatscreen then try VR again should work. If not drop all settings to low as well in flatscreen then switch back to VR.

Turn off upscaling and restart game
That fixed the VR image issue. Now performance isn't spectacular but it's at least playable now.
Works for me. Was able to get 60fps at 100% res on a reverb g2, 3090, 5800x. If I turn res to 50% I'm easily running 90fps and it looks about as good a ac vr

I got exactly the same specs and it looks awful. AC looks way better for me in the g2, that is with mods ofcourse. They have to improve the performance a lot. It's also a shame DLSS isn't working in VR, because dlss4 seems to be working good in VR.

I will upgrade this year to a 5090, but even on a 5090 this will look awful and it will be still impossible to drive with descent graphics with a full grid. But hopefully they will improve the performance a lot. I do like the physics.

90 fps suuureeee
my setup : i9 13900k RTX 4090 64GB Ram and my maxed out are 60 fps and low settings
32GB Ryzen 7700 (non X) and 4070 ti Super = 60fps on fairly high (not ultra, but definitely not low) settings at 130% resolution, but I haven't tried the latest patch yet. The beta 0.1.4 was fine though.
