Clutch is useless in some cars
Hi, AC team. I don't know if I don't understand something but clutch works very inconsistent between manual cars. In Camaro if you dont use it, the gearbox break almost instantly. In Ford Escort if you dont use clutch, you just miss down shifts but can upshift with no problems. In Toyota GR86 or Hyundai i30 N, you can shift up and down without even touching the clutch pedal without consequentions. Something is wrong here.

check out the driving assists, if everything is off, the car handles like it should. some you can upshift without cut off gas, some not. some need the clutch, some not. some h-shift, some paddle shift.. ect......

it depends on the car and its features, like in RL.

Asissts - PRO, so no autoclutch. I mean only manual cars with manual stick shifting, no paddles. Even if car has auto gas cutoff you still press the clutch to shift. Here in ACE in i30 or gr86 you just drive and shift gears using only gas and brake manipulator, no clutch required. On the other hand in Camaro you blow out the gearbox almost instantly.
i just checked it out with the ford escord. you cant shift up without clutch or blip gas. but you can downshift under load. i gues this will damage the transmission as soon the have implemented that.

Check the other cars, i30n, gr86

i did the gr86, upshift under load, downshift under load, without gas blip or clutch is possible. i dont know if that car support this kind of shifting. but engine stalls if you stop without hit the clutch while in gear.
Yeah, damage hasn't really been implemented yet, definitely not a good idea to finish a race when it is.
theres such thing as floating gears look it up. it involves perfect rev matching and no you dont need a clutch.

No rev matching at all, works the same whether I hold the throttle to the floor or release it. RPMs don't matter here either.
