struggling with braking and corner entry, downshift
I like the physics but there is something weird on corner entry, it seems like the tracks have less grip than a wet road and brake is way more sensitive and can reach full braking just touching the brake pedal, some cars would just lose the rear if I downshift with very little steering angle and even slow cars with slow speeds are impossible to recover, maybe it is just one bad setting or I am just too used to ACC...

... blip the throttle when downshifting and try to be smoother on the throttle and brake if possible and also u want to have done most of the braking before starting to steer into the corner. i hope that helps :)
The cars are more sensitive to undulations in tracks, I feel. Some corners, for example the penultimate turn at Bathurst really highlight how you need to adapt braking zones based on the effect it has on cars. This is very realistic, and also quite challenging.

As Alvar mentioned, blipping the throttle is important, otherwise changing down a gear can cause you to immediately slip rear tyres on a RWD car (Cos of higher revs), this will inevitably cause oversteer and crashing, not to mention, by the final release, probably transmission damage. It doesn't take a vast amount of time to get used to blipping/heeltoeing, once you get the muscle memory down, it's relatively straight forward.
You can't compare GT3 cars with a Mazda MX5 ;)
