Sorry for the late reply, been a bit hectic lately for me.
For my PSVR2, I did not have to edit any config files at all.
My PSVR2 was mostly plug and play for me with my existing Bluetooth connection, using the PS VR2 Application via steam.
The only issue I encountered, was placing the Adapter on a populated USB 3.0 port, it gave me some detection issues with my controllers and headset, until I changed to a different USB 3.0 port in my system.
After changing to a different USB 3.0 port, I did not have any further issues with controller setup in the PS VR2 Steam application.
As for the game itself, I don't use the PS VR2 controllers at all, just the PS5 DualSsense controller.
Start the game in Normal Non VR, Turn off DLSS/FSR completely, then save and exit the game.
Launch the game in VR and you should not encounter the double image
