Assetto Corsa EVO

Assetto Corsa EVO

What's going on here, 20 Cars in Early Access and no Open Wheeler?
This seems kinda odd don't you think? In the full game there will be many more cars and I'm sure there will be Open Wheelers but not even 1 with early access? Is this gonna turn into Gran Turismo where the emphasis will be road cars with time trials and "Driving Academy" where you to get Gold, Silver, Bronze and collect Achievements?

Haha, not exactly the answer I was looking for.
SIm racers are hilarious complaining about 20 cars for 1 price when Flight Sim Planes cost $108 for 1 Plane haha.

20 Cars "initially".

It's a work-in-progress towards 1.0. Which will contain 100 Cars. All at no extra cost.

Kunos have a "Phasing Plan" for Early Access. This is because if you want to pay for the cheapest version, you pay for it during Phase 1.

Once Early Access has progressed more, they've implemented part of the Summer Open World Map, you'll see more variety in vehicles and an emphasis towards Phase 2 and so on(they have not indicated how many Phases there will be). However. Most of us feel it will be 3-4 Phases.

Kunos know that Open Wheel racing is popular. And will want to use this during their marketing strategy moving forward. Afterall, if you have bought Phase 1, any other content during Early Access is free. You don't need to pay for anything extra.

Think of their strategy as DLC.

To your Gran Turismo Driving Academy example. Yes. It's exactly this. It's a great way for Drivers, especially new Racing Sim Players to get used to driving virtually within a controlled environment. There's been many examples of new players jumping straight into Multiplayer, only to be criticised or judged unfairly. That's where the Driving Academy comes in.

Any other questions youd like to ask? I'm sure myself or other AC fans will be happy to answer

Your defence of AC evo is admirable but its almost on the same level of defending a family member that's on trial for murder. You honestly think Kunos didn't make a marketing blunder by not having at least 1 open wheeler in early access? You're introducing the game to the world and you omit a huge base from it? They could of had anything open wheel, a Formula Vee, a Formula Ford, a Formula anything so us open wheel guys can play around with it in early access. Not all of us want to drive a boring road car with the downforce of a shopping cart. Its like if 2K released early access to PGA 2K5 but decided to not include a Driver with your club selection.

Defence of AC Evo? Quite the opposite in fact. I'm merely stating how their marketing their Game.

I didn't agree or disagree to how they market their Game did I? You asked a specific question and I gave you the relevant information.

As I stated. Not having Open-Wheel is a marketing strategy.

1) They open the doors for Early Access. Gain positive feedback from initial vehicles and tracks.

2) Market Open-wheeled vehicles and series. Inherit alot more sales and interest.

3) Provide an Open World environment in stages up until 1.0 release. Again. Enticing consumers to buy their product by implementing new features.

You see the pattern? It's simply business Josh.

Defending Kunos? lol Don't disrespect someone online when you don't know them. I've criticised them in the past and will do so during Early Access. Providing constructive feedback to improve their product.

So where you state "omit a huge base from it". No Josh lol It's just marketing the right way. 80 more cars and 15 more tracks to market. That's alotta marketing fuel to entice new customers to buy your product.

Its the opposite of good marketing lol, how do you not see this?. You're making an introduction of your product for the world to see for the first time and you disregard a huge fan base right off the bat?. If you have a marketing degree I think that university ripped you off lol. Obviously there will be Formula car eventually dude, we all get that lol, this isn't the argument. Maybe Kunos hired the marketing girl that Bud light hired from before lol.

Not really because assetto corsa was primarily road cars with street tyres rather than racing cars too - although DLC added a few, and there were a couple in the base game.

If you took 20 cars at random from AC base game most of the sets you created wouldn't have an open wheeler. And presumably they aren't taking cars at random they're taking cars that they've licensed and got to a development stage where they think they are ready for at least early access level of completion.

This is no more odd than, say, noting that AMS 2 doesn't have many road cars in it.

As for gran turismo - that's a game with a reported $ 60 million budget on consoles. No one is trying to recreate or copy it least of all for what is, at the moment, an early release title on PC only.

Josh. It's an Early Access product.

You clearly have never worked in any Marketing role or studied it have you?

You see this in all Games that are released today. They release their Game. Then later, they release further content. Enticing consumers to buy more.

You see Games sell cosmetics consistently. They DO NOT put all their cherries into one bag Josh. That just doesn't happen. If Kunos went by your logic. They'd release all 100 Vehicles. And 20 Tracks. In an unfinished state. Without any backup. No marketing to entice players. And ultimately once Main Launch arrives. They've got nothing for their Launch.

Use your brain. You seem to be personally hurt that there's no open-wheeled cars. Big deal. Come back when there is and that's it. Early Access is a journey for any EA Title. Content gets added over a progressional period. If you can't understand that. That's a you problem. Cause the fact is Josh - You don't have to listen to my words. Go speak to Kunos if you're so unhappy with their marketing. Because everything I've stated, is factually correct.

"Maybe Kunos hired the marketing girl that Bug light hired from before lol" - Sounds like you need to go touch some grass and grow up. Getting angry at some dude who gave you some hard facts about a video game. lol. What a sad life lol

Cya. I'd wish you a great time playing Evo but you wont be playing it right? Good luck.

You're not getting it and you might be too thick to get it. And yes, I did marketing for 7 years hence why this is a ridiculous move by Kunos for not having 1 of those 20 cars be Open Wheel, something as simple as a Go-Kart would be justifiable. You get a chubby for Kunos, I get it, its blatantly obvious even though you'd say otherwise. Your whole argument is a murder scene and other Kunos Fan boys are gonna try to defend it lol. I wanted to get early access, obviously there is no point as there is no content for me right now. But the fact I brought up a simple point and your defence mechanism kicked in for Kunos is comical. Another analogy for you, "Don't stay in the marriage just for the kids" lol.

Okay thanks, you actually made some valid points and I get it now. Much better than Mr. Marketing boy JackNsock over there.

No one cares if you get early access or not. Least of all on the basis of the limited content in it being limited.

Grow up. You're not driving any cars. It's just a computer game. You're crying about an early access game not having a car you want. Get your gran to post I bet she's a better driver and person in every way.

You came onto the Steam Forums. To ask if Assetto Corsa Evo. Is woke.

You're clearly 2 things. Delusional and Disturbed. I'll unsubscribe from this thread because for whatever reason, you just can't speak like an adult. That you in your profile pic? I'd be embarrassed.

That was sarcasm Einstein, how could you not notice that? lol. Its a stab at all those MAGA Woke people that come on forums like Fable and Dragon Age Veilguard and only talk about Woke this and Woke that when they have no idea what it means. You're not the sharpest tool in the shed eh?, let me guess which university you got your marketing degree from, Trump University? lol. And also you're making fun of how I look but you're calling me immature? Lol. They didn't teach you what hypocrisy means in Trump University? 🤣
