Multiplayer lobbies
I know i know, the game won't have multiplayer at launch so spare me for the question.

I just want to know if there's any detail in how the multiplayer will work. Will we be able to host races for example, for 3-4 friends and fill it with AI like in other games from the game itself?
Setting the server on the og AC was a pain in the ass and AI was out of the question.


I don't mind supporting the studio day 1 so they can finish the game with the funds, but only if there are chances that my "usecase" will be available, otherwise it would be wasting my money in a product not made for me.

Didnt realise there was no Multiplayer, ill take it off my wishlist and revisit in the future.

are we getting ACC style lobbies ? presumably it will be larger scale than just gt3 (i also did not realise it wont be multiplayer on launch :steamsad: )
I dont think it will be a bad thing not having MP first off, it will give you and the developers a chance to sort bugs out and get used to the physics before network code get involved

All we know about MP :
- it will come later
- it will be server based, not P2P (as usual)
- there is a partnership with Thesimgrid (which does not exclude other leagues)

According to Marco, they cannot fully confirm the AI to fill online races yet, but it is something they want to introduce one day, especially in order to give even more life to the open world (since here there will be AIs for the traffic)

P.S. How long without talking to you? Maybe you don't remember me but I think I'll sound familiar to you from the old 3DJ forums xDDD

There's no mutliplayer on launch cause it's in early access so they have to make sure they can run there game properly before have servers with a whole bunch of people on it
My question is how much will be the capacity of open world map? I hope to be at least 32 players with possibility of text chat ... I love cruising with friends/random players and chatting
whats confirmed is hosting dedicated servers will be coming back, and leagues/esports will be hosted through the sim grid. what they are staying silent on, and what is a big problem for me is

1. when the servers go down either temporary or permanently, how will this effect YOUR own server?

2. will there be progress in dedicated servers such as earning xp and money?

3. how is this going to work with mods, and if mods will be allowed....refer back to point 2

they are being completely silent on this which has me worried that the reality is, kunos servers down, YOUR servers are down and there will be NO xp/money progress on dedicated servers, only in single player/official servers. which will be a HUGE problem for the community who has been running AC/ACC servers for years, as once multiplayer does come, most people are going to want to mainly play on their own servers or servers hosted by groups they are already in. and with no progress you will be forced to grind in single player as opposed to progressing in the main draw of the game.
