The academy is hard af LOL
Well ye I`m not a PRO driver and staff ofc but this is aids to play r3-03 for me, I`m stuck here, spent like 4 hours of trying and still cant even get 1 star. My best time was 1:37.5 which is 1sec more than needed, I was watching a lot of videos but I cant drive as perfect as people does and at the end of the day it`s just a game, so it shouldn`t be dat hard. Kunos make it ezer please.

Just practice more. I got all licences with Xbox One controller. So please don't tell me it's hard.

I've noticed the difficulty of 3 stars vary *drastically*...I've been moving slowly thru the licenses as my OCD self needs to see that 3 star before moving on to the next lol

Try testing different settings in your menu…You’ll be surprised how much of a time difference the settings effect different cars.

huh might be, any suggestions on r3-03 also?

I don't remember which one that is, but if you're missing one star it's probably because you're over-driving and missing every Apex by 10 feet in a mistaken attempt to get faster (or maybe not). Slow down more, make the turns, fast out.

Well I finally got it but anyway the academy is hard for a newbies like me, it should be more friendly to new sim players frfr

Sorry…I don’t have that…But in ACE speed sensitivity and steering filter as well as track controls have a large impact..I have improved my lap times by as much as 6 seconds by changing these..I’m using a Xbox controller at the moment

on a wheel had a few cars nigh uncontrollable with manual clutch and no assists especially with cold tires in racing 2+ tests, with cold tires and rain I feel like a grandma on the accelerator doable but not what I call fun or a realistic experience. if your having trouble might try a 30 min practice on track with a similar drivetrain in an entry or sports class car to learn at a more reasonable pace.
i see this license tests as driving licence.
they should make it even harder, that would result in more quality online drivers later.
let the others stay in offline mode where they can have fun with ai.

Yep, it would be quite difficult for a new racer who doesn't know the tracks, but I've been through the same struggle of learning tracks in previous games. Knowing the track makes a huge difference to lap times. R3-03, Laguna Seca, can take a while to learn. Work out a track-side braking marker to tell you when to hit the brakes hard before the cork-screw (the downhill s-bend). You can take some of the corners quite fast, and on full throttle, but you still need to brake before them. Keep trying, you'll get there eventually, and it'll be very valuable knowledge for when you race on the same tracks later. It took me quite a few attempts to even get one star in some of these license tests. I know the Mt Panorama track better than all other tracks, so I kept persisting until I got three stars for the R3-05 test.

is R3-03 the challenge with the wet track at Laguna? that's the one i struggled the most too. because (AFAIK) the usual driving line is wet and there's just no grip and cars behaves like ♥♥♥♥. after this most challenges are quite easy IMO.

but i hated it hard that KUNOS desided to introduce wet surface stuff in the Academy. because i don't feel like it is even remotely close to what road cars with good tires behave on wet surfaces....it feels like on ice

Yeah the racing ones are very hard and with a controller you should aim for 2 stars on all tests.

R3-04 is the killer with the Porsche and no traction. At least with R3-03 I only managed to get 2 stars by starting on traction 01 (default) for AMG GT2 and after launching it and rowing through the gears, as I ascended the main straight (before the first tight corner) I adjusted the car's traction to 04 and got 2 stars now. Took me a few hours 😓
I'm struggling. However, I like it. Weirdly I prefer time attacks more than racing with other people. Currently on Bathurst full lap with the M2 and I'm maybe 4s off a one star. Never managed a 3 star on any of them yet. Got a couple on 2 star.

Dude ive been trying to get past the full lap in the M2, its fckn impossible i swear to god! 3 stars is like 12 seconds faster than my fastest lap. I dont think the m2 is capable of achieving a 1:38. IN ACC with the m4 gt3 its a walk in the park

Actually nailed the 3 stars first try, the m2 definitively can do that. And I m no pro, I m playing on a t248. I have 3 stars in every category, some required me to try a dozen of time some didn't. It comes with the knowledge of the track, knowing the perfect braking point, when to accelerate when to get just off throttle, the good corner speed etc.
