Linux Support?
Have to ask. Moved away from M$ because their intrusive AI BS to Linux and would like to know if Linux support will be a thing with this game.

That's nice, but tbh, I moved to Linux and kinda like it and don't want to go back.

probably will work via Proton fine as usual, that is if devs will not some intrusive anti-cheat. Steering wheel support is worse issue on linux right now to be fair. Couldn't get my g923-xb to work properly in any game.

+1 here on Linux support. I understand it may not be a focus but if any developers read this thread and try the game under Proton, who knows, maybe there's only 1 or 2 simple bugs in the way, that could be squashed. Or not.

As a counterpoint to the previous response: I run AC/ACC/AMS2 and others with a Logitech wheel (and another one before) and VR, all working fine, plus other games. I look forward for VR EVO on Linux.

Bump, just make it run via Proton and we will be happy.

Count me in if it's playable on Linux, and please don't let the installation be hell like the previous one.
Just works here, using proton experimental (don't know if that's required, just the first thing I tried). FFB for Moza works.

Same here.... works on Linux out of the box via proton.

Works fine with Proton. Might need to adjust setting depending on hardware performance. Very minor visual glitches that might be due to DXVK or vkd3d.

You can see very small black spots in the side-mirror here. Otherwise entirely fine.

It works fine under openSuse out of the box.

In Steam->Options->Compatibility enable "Steam Play for all other titles".
Select Proton Experimental.

Game->Right-click->Properties->Compatibility, check ‘... force’ and select Proton Experimental.

It is generally recommended to deactivate shader precaching in Steam under Linux.
Steam->Options->Downloads, Shader Pre-Caching.
This has nothing to do with or does not affect precaching in the game itself.
How about windows support?>
I use an openffboard wheel and have some weird choppy FFB when left foot braking or in certain tire slip situations under Linux. I have not seen it reported at all for windows so I think it may be a Linux specific issue. Anyone else experience that? Lowering the gain seems to help but doesn't make it completely go away.

I played around with the various FFB tuning settings but none of them seemed to have any impact on this issue for me except gain.

I started a thread too but there's a lot of noise in this discussion so figured I'd ask in this existing one too.

Linux support and BSD Unix support for PS5&Pro are going to be very important for the long term!

I can confirm it works without a hitch on Garuda and ProtonGE, some minor random artifacting occurs but that's a minor thing. grid of 9 AIs slows down on my setup (R7 5800X3D 32 GB RAM, 7900XT) probably will be sorted with optimisations
