I think a lot of folks will love this game and overall be positive of it. For me though there are some things I don't like with the way of the design.

1st thing I don't care for is the design of the whole game being scripted and on rails. It's fine if the same waves come from the same locations every time you play a map and aren't random, and resource fields are static per play through. What I don't care for is the pre determined base layouts and building locations. This makes the game more difficult than need be as sometimes building and tower locations will be off to the side of the main route and not hit enemies well where if you had been able to place it you could do better. This also goes for walls and traps, those are predetermined and a lot of your base simply will be out in the open without protection just cuz.

2nd and related is that even with the pre determined building locations there is no variation. You don't get to pick and choose what towers go in these predetermined areas, it's already picked for you. missiles will be in missile locations, and turrets in turret locations and no way to switch it up. doesn't matter if the enemy coming would be killed better or easier by a different turret, you are locked in.

3rd is controls. There were several things you are not taught how to do, switching enemy you are firing on is one of the ones I was annoyed with. I'm not even sure you can switch targets and it's a real pita when enemies get by you and you can't target them and lose a resource building due to it. Also the controls in general are just not that great, the system feels rough and inefficient and as someone who hasn't owned a console in 25 years I don't have a controller laying around. I did look them up and holy mother are official PS/XBOX Bluetooth compatible controllers expensive.

I would like to reiterate the game is pretty good in it's own right just not in my taste. I hope this review helps a few people avoid buying and having to refund. I expect the game to otherwise have positive reviews and if there was a neutral selection I would have rather chosen that than negative.

Note to the Dev, I would edit the description to make it more clear you can't build and place things wherever you would like. Currently it indicates

"Please arrange the defensive towers rationally according to the characteristics and attack routes of the enemies to form a crossfire network and maximize damage output."

But this is simply untrue from what I played before refund as it's all predetermined and the most choice you get is WHEN to build what.

It also states:

"Building a base on the desolate surface of an alien planet is no easy task; it requires careful planning of the base layout and choosing the best locations to construct resource extraction stations and research facilities."

But there is no planning on where things go, simply again WHEN you build them. These descriptions are not doing you any favors.

Absolutely love games like this and can't wait to sink hours upon hours into this. Playing the Demo really set the hook and now the game is finally out. 1000% wish this was also coop but Single player will do. Now let me grab a snack and play this till the sun comes up :)

I'm going to get ahead of the curb on this and say a game that at first glance seems to be inspired by Thronefall at least in terms of gameplay, having played for a little - there is story, characters with dialogue, the developer has really taken that gameplay and made it spark.

It has been fun the three or so hours I've put in so far and I intend to play this to completion and further. There is a balance between economy and defence that is very delicate on some of the maps and I look forward to replaying maps with the different unlockable characters and added challenges that appear as you progress.

The only issue I have noticed so far having been a few spelling or grammatical issues during dialogue, very minor and this has not in any way dulled my enjoyment of the game at all.

All in all a very pleasing and fun game that I very much look forward to completing - 100% worth giving a chance.
