Wolves dying on their feet is a bug that predates this update. The noisemaker can cause injury if it explodes close enough to a wolf (based on the in-game item description) but I didn't realise it would kill it outright. Wonder if that is a bug or an intended feature.

By accident, I threw one down at my feet, and yeah, I took some damage. As it should be—it's explosives, after all. Depending on how close the thing is to your head when it goes off (or the wolf's head), it shouldn't be surprising that it might be deadly.

bro chapter 4 has been a joke ive been running through walls, getting stuck on bridges on the MAIN vanilla path of the game, i even walked through the gate surrounding the prison now im in some 2D low-poly prison where i can walk through the walls

i try Timberwolves but they got to much HP and bear or moose are dead on my old save maybe but i dont think so :)

Oh wow, never seen a moose do that. To be fair, I'd say you won that fight. You traded broken ribs for a dead moose.

Yes and Yes.

If you light it and hold it for 5 seconds or so, it just explodes in your hand, doing a decent chunk of Condition damage and giving you Burns.

It's really hard to hit a wolf with a noisemaker because they explode so immediately after you throw them, usually they detonate in midair right in front of you.
