Obvious difference between Cedar and Fir trees.
Foraging for wood would be easier if I could look up and see the difference between the trees,,, shape, needles, bark, cones, etc. There really is a difference in the color of the wood, also; Cedar being redder and Fir more white.

Yeah, it could be a bit more obvious, though the two limb types can stil be discerned at a distance; Cedar limbs are literally scaled up branches; long, slender, and fairly branched. Fir limbs are thick, relatively short, and only branched at one notable point.

I don't know... It seems I do quite a bit of searching to find Fir when I need it for tools.

I can agree, certain mirco areas do have a given disposition to spawn given limbs, e.g. specifically fir or specifically cedar.

I'll give Jackrabbits as the example
Cedar spawns in the large tree cluster (large as in number of trees, not tree size) on the NW slope (leading towards the overturned boat and mini island chain) and the tree cluster on the NE near the shore, but thats blocked off by the boulders.

Fir spawns on the small tree cluster immediately next to the coastal house, and the small cluster right on the edge or the ice on the central nothern edge of jackrabbits.

The trees themselves do not differ significantly in disposition, and perhaps it should change to give more indication. However, as noted, the limbs themselves are, IMO, sufficiently different in appearance that one can discern what type of wood it before getting the reticle and text saying so.

Yeah, there's a difference in the appearance of the limbs, but it's fairly subtle. I'll have to tune my eyes better. It's a minor point; I can work with it.
