Mod for weight/carryweight
Is there a mod out there I can use for lower item weight or to earn or have more carryweight? I can easily carry 50kg and 30 seems like a joke to me. Also some of the weights of things seems a bit off to me. I don't even know how I have almost 47KG constantly either the most heaviest thing I am carrying is food and water and they're about 5kg each. Do letters and keys add to the weight or something?

We have no official Mod support yet for the game, other than language localizations. So, no supported Mods here on Steam or other platforms, that won't possibly break your game or cause conflicts.

Feel free to use Google & co. to look elsewhere. We are not permitted to talk about unsupported cheat Mods here. Because it is against Steam Dicussion Rules and Guidelines to do so. No one can stop you from looking on your own though. Just be aware, using them may break your game. And tech cannnot fix what is broken if it is broken by a third party cheat Mod.

After losing interest in the game a little while ago, I used a mod for infinite carry weight and it has breathed new life into the game for me. It is so much more enjoyable now. I no longer use the ingame shelters anymore, but rather just stay on the move and build snow shelters when needed. It's been a fun way to play. Not having to worry about weight is a huge weight off my shoulders :)

I wouldn't consider doing something like this though, unless you have pretty much done everything there is to do beforehand.

you can build one in-game with 5 cloth and some sticks , its a shelter that provides warmth and a sleeping location without a sleeping bag , i think animals can still get to you tho so camp in a safe spot , with a wind shield if possible

I cant ever imagine myself playing TLD like this , i mean , wheres the survival part ? Every time i go on the mountains here , in Valle'd'Aosta , Italy , one of the hardest parts is to actually carry ur gear up the mountain , which also bring immense satisfaction once u get up there and warm up a nice soup..
Ofc you dont use shelters anymore if you can carry all the cloth and wood you want with no problem ..
I recc you give TLD another try without any mods/cheats..

Mods for this game is really bad. Unlimited weight limit?! So if you need scrap metal you lift a car on your back while running for some wolves? Sounds fun....
Mr Eko Jan 15, 2018 @ 4:26am
I only play with the mod now because i've poured hundreds of hours into regular play that it was getting stale for me. So instead of never coming back to the game again, this has made it fun again for me. I've played enough of the regular survival modes that I needed something different to do if I was ever going to play the game again.

That's why i said it's not recommended unless you have done everything else and just want something different. It's an obvious cheat, but one which has renewed my interest in the game. It has now given me different ways to play it.

Carrying 30Kg all day long, through deep snow and on ice, while being most of time underfed and most of your too few calories being used to maintain your body temperature is not a trivial feat.

I won't put your words of you being able to do so with 50Kg in doubt here, but let say that common people couldn't carry that much on a daily basis in these conditions and I can perfectly understand that Hinterland assume that our character cannot do it.

My character literally never gets cold unless sleeping, he's fully fed and watered at all times. The only thing is tiredness which yes would slow you down, but starting at 40 or 50kg instead of 30 would really help my sanity. Or, hell, if I maintain good health and feeding and sleep reward me with better stamina and endurance because while the average person cannot...the average person in a situation where they have to begin to excell at it under the right conditions (well fed, no illness, etc).

Ditching the rifle for the bow is step in the right direction (unless you are going bear/mooose hunting). I'm glad some folks found a mod that's works for them. I hope you can't get achievemnts/feats, as it breaks the game.
The only Mods on Steam that break achievements in Singleplayer games are Steam Workshop Mods. Which is why Valve uses VAC servers (and VAC bans) for many MP games, to detect third party software running, that may or does alter game files. Since this is a local game, and not a server-based game... cheat Mods do allow people to cheat the game and achievements. Which is why they are called "cheat" Mods. They override a core game mechanic or mechanics and change it.

Nice that they may help some people find a new way to customize their game and enjoy it again, but we have 56 settings we can now customize, without intentionally breaking core mechanics in the game. I'll play with those. And won't use third party Mods. I'll wait for Hinterland to add full Mod Support via Steam Workshop.

45 is 15kg over the limit. I can't run at like 35kg and walking makes me want to kill myself ha ha.

Please don't tell me you're talking about resolution and what not. Those are not real settings they are just to get yourself comfortable with how the game is viewed and heard etc by you. Half of those don't even work. I know the difference between 75 and 100 FOV and on Fullscreen I am DEFINITELY not at 100 FOV LOL.

No, I am not talking about graphics settings, Audio settings, FOV, and resolutions. I am talking about the 56 game tuning settings the devs exposed, for us to adjust game mechanics like loot tables, weather, animal fear and agressiveness, spawn distances and rates, turning afflictions on or off, etc.

56 things we can custom tune the in game settings with, in the custom game mode settings toolbox. It's a thing. You'll find it in the game menu for Survival Mode, when you pick Pilgrim, Voyageur, Stalker, Interloper or Custom. It's at the bottom. You should check it out, perhaps?

They're talking about the custom mode, where you can customise a lot of settings forhow the game works.

As for running at 45 lbs (not kg), use a moose stachel to ncrease your carry weight. You'll be able to run up to 44.99 kg (without it you can run up to 39.99 kg).

No offense, but sounds so boring... Choice is important part of The Lonk Dark game. Unless you like walking simulators.

Why do you seem to hate me IFIYGD? lol

I am playing wintermute, I don't have settings like that. I am also new to the game so don't treat me like an idiot who just isn't looking hard enough lol.

Thank you for explaining super nicely, and that moose satchel sounds AMAZING! Where do I find/create that? I don't think I've seen a moose yet. I have seen a bear but that was in a cutscene and I was just told that I'd run into it again at the tunnel so pretty sure I can cross a bear off the list soon ha ha.

I completely get what he's saying, it sounds great to me! Sometimes you just want to play with your own goals and things in mind. It's liberating! You see that as having no choices because it's removed having to choose between items, and he sees it as having unlimited choices because he's removed barriers that prevented him having those choices before lol. Sometimes it's fun to play god mode. Hell when I play rust I am spawning ♥♥♥♥ in for myself all the time, the building is the fun ♥♥♥♥ for me. Others would find that boring but I love it :D.
