Quartering with Hacksaw

Quartering an animal requires a knife or hatchet, and the hacksaw can't be used. Which is odd since you can use the hacksaw to surgically remove a single gut, you just can't use it to saw the animal into quarters. Seems to me the hacksaw would actually be the preferred tool for quartering an animal, being faster than the knife or hatchet, on account of the fact that you're sawing straight through bone and not removing tissue from it.
