I don't think there are really any legit mods for this game at all yet.
While we don't currently support modding in-game, we will be looking into it down the road.

Exploration and discovery are key pillars of the game, so it's important to us that they aren't undermined by 3rd party software. Thank you.
This is the kind of immersion breaking thing that people are going to seize at if there isn't any in-game mapping, I'm afraid. I've said this in other places, but I'd much rather have an in-game orienteering map I can flip open (no GPS tracking, though, please!) than breaking my immersion by alt-tabbing out to look at map jpegs. What's more immersion breaking than alt-tabbing, however, is the arbitrary lack of any kind of in-game mapping for no plausible thematic reason I can think of, whether as an intentional creative choice or just as the absence of a planned feature that has yet to be implemented.
I knew about the "detailed maps regions" but I am not looking for any kind of spoiler or detailed map making the game easier, more like a map you draw as you discover things, right now what I'm doing is drawing on the map the developers gave us with photoshop lol I'm doing it for my playthrough on YT so it gives some kind of overview of where I am, have been and where I'm going.
I hope they add some sort of map in the game though, would be nice to be able to write down camps we made or items we leaving on the ground etc.
Places have names, locations like caves and rock formations that shouldn't have actual names but somehow do. It is as if the survivor has a map and is not sharing it with the player.
Here are a few simple ways to input maps :
Put up simple maps at ranger stations which the player can use at various locations to add detail to.
The dam, radio tower and the plane all have to have maps/documents/journals detailing locations. Heck even the logging camp has got to have a map of where to cut trees.
Turn some book spawns to "notebook" let us use them to harvest pages for our own journals.
It should not be this hard to add a map to a survival game that is this good.

The idea is that you might find a tourist brochure that included a zone map, or a hiking map or whatever, and you would open it up in the same way you interact with the few notes that have been included in the game thus far. I think so far only on TWM as far as I'm aware, but there might be some in that new muskeg area.
