No Interaction Hot Spot in Last Horizon Quest (warning Far Territories Spoilers in this bug Discussion)

I've completed the entirety of the Tales quest like to the point where I'm supposed to clear snow out of the way to proceed to the High Plateau, but the interaction prompt never shows up to clear the snow, so I can never pass this area and am left softlocked on this quest.

As you can see by the screenshot, I'm in the right area, so this is definitely a bug.

NOTE: Yes, I already posted a bug report on the Support Portal, I'm posting this here for discussion purposes and seeing if there's others softlocked by this bug and seeing if anyone found any workarounds to get past that snow bank blocking my path.

Did you pick up the polaroid related to that spot?
I've had the same problem once and it wasn't possible to clear the snow because I missed one polaroid.

I picked it up, been looking at it several times trying to figure out where to go and then verifying I was in fact in the right place when I couldn't do anything there.
