Furniture workbench vanished

I build a few chests and left the house, next time I came back, furniture workbench was gone. This happened on survival, Mystery Lake camp office.

I had something similar happen - Was upgrading the Furniture Bench to a Workbench with a vice from another table I harvested. Once I finally finished building the Workbench upgrade, leaving the crafting screen the entire Furniture Workbench was just gone entirely.

I have experienced the same thing in Quonset Garage. What's worse, had a WIP piece of furniture stored in the workbench which has vanished as well.

Story mode does this... you progress the story, and stuff vanishes.

I've had it happen twice now. Very aggravating. Once in Sunders Pass @ the Lonely cabin and now in Mystery Lake @ the Lake Cabin. If anyone has a fix, I'd love to hear it.

Same thing happened to me in the Hunting Lodge. Just got done building work bench and shelf. And next time when loading to the game both of them were gone.

same thing happend to me but with normal worbench i build. After i placed it, broke armchair and left house when i get in worbench was gone. Coastal highway house on jackrabbit island.

Mine just disappeared too and I was in Custom mode about to make more stuff for my base.

just spent forever trying the crafting multiple times, nothing shows in inventory or disappears after. very frustrating :/

I've lost 2 Workbenches and 2 Storage Trunks to the Misanthropes Homestead, but have had no trouble with the Quonset Garage yet.

I have a feeling the vanishing items is caused or in part by the attempted fix to certain interior items being automatically dropped whenever the player left an interior location.
