I lost all my items...

With the update things changed and the items disappeared! I was on the broken railroad, I must have had almost 300-400 kg of items there! And now everything is gone... AAAAND, and it's a big AND! the lost and found box WAS ALSO LOST!!! I searched the WHOLE MAP! And nothing! Even nature gave me no respite, it gave me blizzards every day I was looking for that box... almost 2 real months of gameplay practically thrown in the trash... I had almost all the items from the entire island there... certainly all the most important ones... now, disappeared to the beyond... IT WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM IF THE BOX THAT COMPENSATED THIS PROBLEM HAD NOT DISAPPEARED TOO!

I just came back to Thompson's Crossing City Hall and found out that i've lost about 80 units of canned food and preserved goods such as oil, broth and Oatmeal, which i worked so hard to collect from ENTIRE map. Lost all clothing items such as rabbit hat, crampons and even working hard hat that were laying on top of clothing rack.
Let's wait. Seeing how these are not unique cases maybe they will fix it.
Oh and my character can't sleep, so literally can't progress any further.

There are 3 places they appear in the region. At the tunnel to Forlorn Muskeg, the Maintenance Shed and the Hunting Lodge.

Yes, I looked in all of them, after having difficulty finding it I searched, I even looked around and far from those places... and still no box.

Had a look at this page for locations and the community hall is actually not on it. You may be out of luck.

The list really should be updated as there's nothing about Blackrock or the Far Territory and I've found them in both areas.

I'm not entirely certain but I think the exterior boxes may be removed once you go inside somewhere even if you haven't interacted with them. If so this needs fixing.

So, i've checked. Lost items do not appear anywhere in abovementioned places and inability to sleep seems to be tied to Aurora. If i pass time until Aurora ends i can sleep again.
Oh well. Let's hope Hinterland finds a way to restore our stuff.

Hey, friend. I just found my items! I left to go hunt and do few others things and when i came back the Lost and Found box appeared in my base's entrance. Try that, i really hope it'll work for you!

Seems my comment about boxes that aren't interacted with removing themselves is incorrect. Found one exterior box in Sundered Pass after leaving and entering several interiors. It's located at the exit/entrance to Transfer Pass.

I understand items moved to lost&found boxes if they were placed inside houses on the ground. But what I don't understand why in my game items in caves moved to boxes. I was in a cave before update and visited another cave to inspect, all items on the ground disappeared. Caves do not have selfhouse customization. I wonder is this a bug or is it intentionally?

At least not all is lost. Well... I'll try, I'll test staying away from the spawn points in the region, and then outside of it, I'll go fishing in the lake of mysteries, because apparently the box has something to do with time. Thinking about it now, maybe I bugged it? I had some campfires near the door in the maintenance area and a stone deposit... maybe the box was supposed to appear in those places but it couldn't? The only things that didn't disappear were the pots on the campfires... I'll check, but I can't say if I have any hope...

Did you enter a loading screen or use the customize base mode before the box appeared again? Did you leave the region?

Thank goodness, the box finally decided to appear, and apparently all my 348 kg of stuff was there, I don't know if it was absolutely everything, but the most important ones were there. Apparently this disappearance really has something to do with time... or loading screens...

I took a walk, camped outside of loading screens, walked around the map, and the box appeared near the tunnel!

So this is one of the rare bugs that give an opportunity to ""self-fix"" in some way...

I think it was just a consequence of the way they made the system work, it's not intentional but it's not a bug I think... the system doesn't know which items are from nature and which are yours, at least inside the caves.

Either way, it breaks immersion...

I simply left Town Hall in PV and went to radio tower to scout polaroid view. Then came back after exactly one night(with about 8 saves in between including customize base option saves), and as soon as i entered Town Hall again i saw the red box on my left right next to the door. Never left the region.
