hi, i got error FAILED TO LOAD IL2CPP after update

so i exited from steam and started it again , but now ive lost everything and the story episode has a "buy now" next to it and wont start , despite me having it before the update.

So they have essentially stolen part of the game in an update i didnt want , robbing ****s NOT HAPPY AT ALL , i bought and paid

I'm uninstall game, and install again. And all works.

I guess I'll give that a go. With the baselib.dll fix it just gets stuck at the "Loading" screen for me now.

My game is finally working, but my saved Survival mode games are gone.

This was clearly explained many times prior to release which is why many of us have not been playing. However, there is a time capsule that works on Steam where you will be able to play saved games. Check out the Hinterland Website for details

I did everything you said twice - it is still not working. This is the third time Hinterland proclaiming that the issue is fixed on different medias. Please stop f***ing around and fix it for good before announcing anything to people.

it's fixed for alot of people.

Now it is fixed. It wasn't previously. The reason most people were playing it was because of a player-made fix. Their communication has been absolutely horrible - they were actually saying the issue was fixed a few minutes after release.

for PC users, copy common/TheLongDark/tld_dlc/wintermute/baselib.dll to common/TheLongDark and the game will run - not an ideal fix, but a fix for now

After reinstalling, my survival games are gone! Can they be restored from the Steam Cloud?

Calm down! All players who purchased the Long Dark before the update will continue to have access to all Wintermute episodes including the last one scheduled for release Dec 23.

Yeah, that's the way updates work - you cannot run an old save on a new version of the game. It'd be pretty much impossible with a game such as TLD.
