Played on computer with both win and macos systems. MacOS optimization is awful.

Need to list specs for your mac and windows for anyone to compare. But yes, it's no secret that games often suffer from performance hits on macs since they're often running additional software to get the game moving.

That being said, the game runs fine for me on a three year old macbook pro, so having specs might help narrow the issue down.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
Processor: 2,6 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris 1536 MB

Running the game on Medium settings & works fine, anything above that is making it lagg like crazy.
Never played on a good computer so dont really know what Im missing out on & thats why Im happy as it is hehehe

They recommend an i7 with a discrete GPU. Intel says that Mac has Intel® Iris™ Graphics 5100, which is a half step up from what Hinterland has listed in "Minimum Mac OS Requirements."

Hi Kotowski. We are certainly always working to improve how the game runs on different systems, and have some adjustments coming in the next update.

That said, can you describe what you are seeing in more detail? Are you experiencing a lower framerate? Are areas taking a long time to load? Are you seeing crashes or graphics glitching?

If you haven't done so recently, try rebooting your system and checking that your Mac is updated.

Adjusting the ingame display and quality settings can sometimes improve framerate, such as turning off Vsync or playing in Window Mode.

Well, I don't know how, but it starting gliches when I walk on ice. Also weather conditions like heavy snow slower fps.

Compared to other games on macos (wargame red dragon, total war) this game optimization is bad.

ok why are you opening this thread if you are not able to give us information about your configuration? without this information this thread is a waste.

Please post your specs for your mac, and if possible for your Windows PC (if you're not running bootcamp). It's nearly impossible for anyone here to offer any suggestions if we don't have any information. We can only help you if you're willing to help us.

Well, I think I found the problem. That's an extremely weak GPU, which would probably explain the framerate issues you've been experiencing.

macbook pro (2017):
- 2.8 GHz i7
- Radeon Pro 555 2GB
- 16 GB RAM

I have ~30 FPS on LOW settings, 1080p :(

Are you running any programs in the background while playing? I notice a significant drop in frames if I have anything else open that almost immediately disappears when the rest is closed.

No programs in the backgorund. I even restarted my mac.

Any method to double check to make sure that the laptop is using the dGPU? I've had some issues so I got a program to force the switch when it doesn't want to behave.
