Are there any ambient weather sounds during a blizzard for you, or is it completely quiet? Do you experience this with all blizzards?
If you haven't done so already, please verify your Steam files and check that your drivers are up-to-date.
I think the problem is related to custom blizzard settings, seems I'm not the only one...I'll explain why beneath:
The other ambient sounds seem fine, and during a blizzard, we just have the wind sound, the type we associate in-game with moderate or heavy snowfall - but it's a gentle breeze sound, not the howl of the blizzard. Everything else is working fine, including the sound of the birds singing.
I'm playing a custom game.
Most settings set to interloper standards, but with blizzard frequency set to medium. I chose to start the game at TWM at midnight and with starting weather at blizzard. Niether the starting blizzard nor subsequent blizzards have made any noise.
Here's another thread with the same issues:

I'll make a youtube video to demonstrate the issue.
Thanks for your attention.
Sorry for the 360p, wanted to save upload time!
I have picked up on the slight flurry of sound just before a blizzard actually subside, but it is easy to miss and I still have to check.
I know that people ask for being able to see outside through windows and why that would be difficult to implement, but maybe make use of the verbal statements of the survivor - touch the window, "hmmm, looks like it's a blizzard", "that blizzard is still raging, glad to be inside", "darn that fog can't see a thing", etc. for visibility and weather cues. Of course, all in Hinterlands copious free time.
